High quality, comfortable, stylish. Possibly fragile
Was surprised how comfortable the boots were even when I just first put them on. Love these boots, they look amazing and fit perfectly.Unfortunately I don't know how long they will last as they get scuffed quite easily, will update once the boots are unserviceable.

Only Thing I Wear.
I have been wearing these since 1st Issued NAS PENSACOLA, FLIGHT TRAINING; 1989/90. 10.5 Reg SOLES of the Older Models Used to be Stiched / Nailed, now we have these. Soles and Wear; They last about 10-12 years if ya 180-5lbd. They steel toe, NAVY REG COMPLIANT, & I DONT WEAR SCOCKS, after quick break in, 5 days. I only lace to the last eyelet then wrap above the Ankle & tie off. They 😊Non-Slip😊, Thick leather Upper; not cold weather. I am using these for Motorcycle riding. I have a pair in 'My Plane'; not Govt Plane, King-Air 350er special mission-67A; 5 blade Navy set up & Solo flight. Back then we have 200; Huron. Seen a Ship; Drop off Mail as no one came to pick up so I go too them. Missing Slots and was going Partying in Helsinki 4 the weekend; not pleased. I cant say about big or small; always the same size, always fit the same. First time I have had to pay. Expensive, so, @ 10-12 yrars, that $20 a year; not really that expensive.

Really comfortable and reliable.
For the last 2 years, I've been wearing these boots very actively. They've taken every kind of beating already, from scraping bilges to accidentally kicking a lot of steel components. Now I'm looking at them with pride as I look for a new pair of boots. Because while these did me good, I didn't do them good, and I've worn the soles down to a flat bottom. They can't protect me from a slip anymore, and their leather has started being torn off. They did good. Real good. They got me through my training years and first months on the ship. Now it's time to retire them and get a new pair, for these old ones can't win a war anymore. But while they were what I wore, they were the best things I wore. I have nothing but pride for my old boots. Even now, if I didn't need Slip Resistance, I'd probably keep them till I wore the sole all the way through.Oh yeah, and they're actually really comfortable. Had to replace the insoles after 1.5 years because I'd worn that down too, but while it lasted, they were comfortable enough that I even wore them out on liberty.Good Job, Belleville, on these ones.

Belleville Boots - The Best
Great Belleville Boot. Suggest you order 1/2 size smaller than your normal size - fits perfect. I have ordered various models of Belleville Boots for years. They are top quality, well made, and fit great right out of the box. The waterproof models work very well and keep water out - as long as the water level doesn't exceed the height of the boot! The insoles are removable allowiing me to use my own insoles which fit great in the Belleville Boots and provide me a consistent fit with great arch support. The toes also take a 'spit shine' very well. This pair is great for summer, breathable and doesn't get too hot inside. I've worn the 700 model in winter and they can get a little cold inside below 50. I expect these 800s to perform a little better in winter (thicker leather instead of canvas on the uppers). The laces are very sturdy and long and perfect for 'speed lacing' (check out youtube videos)

Bad experience with this pair
I purchased this most recent pair in December, 2023. I will start by saying that I wore Belleville boots for 8 years in the US Army and going on 10 years in my current profession. Although I have tried other brands, I’ve always loved the quality and comfort out of the box of Belleville.I’ve always gotten at least 2 years out of my boots; sometimes even closer to 3 years. Usually the soles of the boots get worn down from use and even though the uppers may still be in decent enough shape, I’ve always just replaced the entire boots and used the worn out ones for details where they get beat up.It was very surprising to me to notice that the sole of my right boot was starting to get loose. Upon inspecting it, I noticed that the bottom of the sole is separating from the top. I tried using shoe glue to secure it back on, but it’s difficult to get the glue in without peeling the entire sole off. I’ve seen other brands of boots have this issue, but not Belleville. This is extremely disappointing to me as. I have never had an out of Belleville’s last less than a year. I’m hoping that this isn’t an indication that the quality of materials or QC is going down.

Great pair of boots!
Got the boots and they were in perfect condition. I ordered a size down from my normal size due to previous experience with these boots.I wear a size 13 but bought size 12.Probably could have went down a size and half but didn't want to chance the boots not fitting.I strongly suggest you do the same!Perfect fit. Fast shipping as well.

Excellent Boots
Excellent boots exactly as described. I expect the long-term durability will make the price well worth it.

Amazing
Where a little bigger than I expect, but I rather them be too big then small. By far the most comfortable pair of boots I own and way easier on my feet than my old pair of boots. No break in time required fit comfortably to my feet the moment I put them on.
