Works great in HVAC residential field!
I am a certified technician that has been in the field going on 4 years now. I dropped my last pump which is similar to this one except that its a 7cfm instead of a 6. Works great and even vacuum 3ton system to 600micron in 30mins or less. The only negative comment I have for it is I wish it had a valve on the pump like my last one which saves me an extra step of releasing the refrigerant. Its a pretty money but worth the money overall.

Been using JB pumps for 15 years
I have used several of these over the years as company provided pumps. I also own a JB DV142N Platinum pump. My Robinair company pump finally croaked on me so I ordered this as a replacement.First off, yet me address one of the negative reviews about rust inside a pump and non corrosion resistant parts. You never put galvanized products inside a pump. Refrigerant and oil will break down the zinc, which will then increase metal content and wear down the vanes prematurely. The inside of the pump is like a car engine, should be coated in oil continually which negates the need for corrosion resistance. Aluminum bolts are too weak. SS bolts stretch from temperature and also are weaker than HSS bolts. If your pump is rusting inside, you are not changing oil often enough. That’s your fault. My primary use is refrigeration service work. I don’t do much HVAC. 6CFM is adequate for evacuating a circuit in a supermarket, or oil separator, etc. 6CFM only applies to Stage 1, every JB pump has the same CFM for Stage 2. This will just take longer to get to the second stage than a 10CFM pump. These pumps are easy to use, and easy to repair. Repair parts are had through dealers and the Factory once you provide Model / Serial. My only gripes are: JB should at least put two 3/8” ports or one 1/2” port on this pump, it should have an isolation valve. Other than that this pump is a great value. It will give you a long service life if you maintain properly.

Eliminator Vacuum Pump
I bought this for stabilizing wood for my knife handles. Using a vacuum tube and some cactus juice this pump is tough. Having a big vacuum chamber that can hold a lot of scales made me choose this one. I'm very happy with it and have ran this for 48 hour sessions with no issue. I change my oil out every 150 hour interval with no issues.

Excellent !!!
Really Nice ... Decided to buy TWO of them ... One for my vacuum oven and the other for my freeze dryer. Both are working great after 3-months of daily use.

Very finicky with oil
Seems to be really sensitive to oil level. It has to be perfect. Maybe I got a dud but this is the messiest vac pump I've ever used.
