Great replacement for broken latches.

Works, handy for when these things (inevitably) fail over time in the little bins they are used in. Always a bit tricky to take the old ones out of their bin covers, but once you do that, these pop in just fine. Funny story, though: I bought a bag of these several years ago and used one of the clips right away, but *ahem* put the rest in a safe place til I needed them again. Well, you know how that goes. I couldn't find the bag after that, so I ordered just a few of them again. Then I came across the original bag, and put both the new bag and the original in a place where I would expect them to be when I needed them. Um, yeah. So here we are, three years later, and I have no idea where either of the packages of these things are. So I ordered this very small batch. And I DO know where they are (in the junk drawer in the kitchen, and yes they are still there, LOL). Moral of the story: 1) Don't get old? 2) Don't get distracted! 3) Or both. :)

These clips were EXACTLY what I needed to fix my little car trash can. I didn’t even know what to call them—click lock? Clicky latch? Click clasp? Whatever the name, they worked perfectly and saved me from having to replace the entire bin. The quality feels sturdy, and they snap into place just like they should. I've read that these kinds of latches are generally prone to breaking over time, so getting several in a pack is going to be convenient long term. My press-close trash can broke and I thought I’d have to replace the whole thing. I was relieved to figure out specifically which part had broken, and that a replacement part exists out there. Now I’ve got backups, so I’ll presumably be able to use this trash can forever! Easy to install, too—much easier than extracting the old broken one.
