Got the dryer up and running!

New belt arrived the next day and is exactly as described, meaning we were only without our dryer for 24 hours as I replaced it myself. Beware this isn't the easiest job to do as the belt is a very tight fit, only basic screwdrivers needed but some skill and patience needed for DIY.

Fit and works

Belt snapped in nov/Dec 2023 replaced with 1 from ebay six pound odd. 3/4 days later fitted it but was very tight job done. January 2024 snapped, not impressed and after inspection it worn out the rear bearing at the back that i also purchased at that time. I brought this 1 which I purchased before long ago ,just finished fitting it and it was much easier to fit and I'm much happier with the job. Had next day delivery with it but was £2. More than ebay but I'm much happier ☺️.

This belt was a lifesaver (and a huge money saver, too!) We genuinely thought we would have to buy a new dryer and couldn't find a technician willing to work on such an old machine. My husband (who is not super handy) bought this and after watching a YouTube video and spending an hour fiddling with the dryer, was able to repair it for next to nothing! It's been months now and the dryer works perfectly being run every day.

Riementausch zahlt sich jedenfalls aus ;-) INDESIT Trockner muss nicht gleich entsorgt werden. Auch als ungeübter Handwerker (wie ich) kann man den Riemen selber tauschen. NUR sollte man den Riemen zuerst ein wenig deeehhhhnen, damit er länger wird. Dachte zuerst an eine Falschlieferung, weil der Riemen sich einfach nicht um die Spannrolle ziehen lies. Nach ein ein paar "Dehnungsübungen" klappte das super. Trockner läuft wieder und Frau ist happy :D
