Couldn't be happier!
I couldn't be any happier with these two-step stairs! I purchased them for use with a cargo van I am converting into a camper. The box they came in was heavily damaged, but the stair parts were in excellent condition. They arrived with everything needed to assemble them, and assembly was easy. The instructions were mostly okay. I'm a bit of a handy grandma, so I was able to figure it out. It took a moment to figure out that the bottom step was a little different than the top step, which has two slots on each end to fit over the support bars. The bottom step has only one slot on each end at the front edge. Also, the instructions said to install the protective caps, which I couldn't find, then realized they were already installed. Once I got the steps together, I found them to be very sturdy and stable. When used properly, I don't expect any issues with the handrail not holding. It is not meant to be leaned on, only as an assist in going up and down. The steps are lightweight, so I had no problem carrying them out to the van after I put them together and I have no problem lifting them in and out of the van for travel. I love the wide step treads! While I am a handy grandma, I do have some knee issues and the nice, wide treads allow me to walk straight up and down, rather than having to side-step and my entire foot can be firmly planted, so no worries about slipping off, especially when going down the steps. I love this! I think my rather large dog will like the wider treads, too. The anti-slip tape that came with is another bonus! No worries about slipping on the smooth steps when it rains. And what's a camping trip without rain? Now, I'd like to comment on a couple of some people's "negative" reviews: First, like I said, the handrail should be sturdy enough used as intended. Hopefully, no one will fall against the handrail or lean over it but be realistic in your expectations! 2nd, use the tools that came with the steps to avoid overtightening and stripping them out and know your own strength. Perhaps the instructions should say, "Screws should be firmly tight. Avoid overtightening." That should be a no-brainer, but I'm sure there are some macho guys out there who insist on doing everything with power tools! If this is you, ask your grandma to put them together! I'm still building the camper, so I haven't used the steps at a campground yet, but they sure have been a help in getting in and out during my build, sometimes carrying some unwieldy things! Love those wide treads!

Bought these stairs to go on a back porch. Metal so they will last a long time. Not treated lumber as we had before. Very sturdy. Good quality and reasonable.

Two designs, this one is better I'd say.
So these ended up replacing a 5 step kit from another brand that was incorrect with their dimensions, (First kit was taller then they said it was) I could of gone one size down with them but decided to buy from this brand. If you browse long enough, you'll notice there really is only two designs and many stores slapping their name on it, so I got to try both designs and I can say, This design was much easier to put together, despite having worse instructions, literally just a folded piece of paper that was more visual guessing then actual instructions, though its kind of hard to get the build wrong and is pretty straight forward, This design like the other design, the railing is kind of a joke, will not support a teen or adult weight leaning against it in any way, only when pressing down will it support any weight, so, usable but I would not depend on it stopping any one from falling through the railing, but you should still be fine as long as your cautious and don't depend on it too much. Also I did some how cut my finger on one of the washers some how, there was some flashing still on one or more of the washers and it got me with out me noticing until I seen the blood on one of the bars as I built the kit, so beware. As for the second design, building was less straight forward, but the instructions where more clear and informative, the difference is this design has you screwing the bolts into the frame, and the other having you feed the bolts through the frame and into a nut. In my opinion this design probably won't last as long as the other design but was easier to put together, both are design to have railing on either or both sides of the steps, but only the other design include caps to cover the holes so water is less lightly to get in and rust things. Other design uses hardware that matches the black, this design uses silver. Both will likely rust over time, this design likely sooner. This design if the threads inside the frame strip or otherwise break, your kind of screwed, other design sense its bolts through the frame and into a nut, you just replace the nut or bolt if it strips or breaks. The last difference is the welding, this design has wilds go all the way around each bare that are welded, where the other design is just tack welded all be it larger welds, they just hit the middle of each side of the bar, I don't know enough about willing to tell you which is stronger, but the welding all the way around will stop water from getting in I would say. If I had to pick again, honestly the only reason I wouldn't go for this design again is for the possibility of one of the bolt holes stripping or otherwise breaking, but in that case, would a drill bit you could just do what the other design does and make a hole through the bar and add a bold and washer on the other side. So I could recommend this design over the other, plus this design does include the grip tape.

Nice sturdy steps
Great quality, instructions are very weak. More like here’s the picture, figure it out. Still easy to manage.

This product is fine however I do not recommend buying. The product arrived in broken packaging missing several pieces of hardware. It’s big and heavy and we were time constrained so decided to purchase missing pieces and request compensation. We spent $72.00 and had to make several trips to different stores which was very inconvenient. The seller’s response was to offer us $10.00 back. Do not buy from them!
