I got this yarn for my daughter to experiment with because she is very good at all forms of art, including textile art. As others have stated, this is cut up strips of material, shiny metallic on one side, drab gray on the other. It makes for some interesting crocheted pieces! It is easy to work with - similar to traditional yarn - but it does take some manipulating to keep the shiny side out. It's a little pricy for the amount of yarn you get but that seems to be the way things are going. This would be excellent for accents otherwise you're going to need a lot for the main color in whatever you do.

The yarn is very metallic but still supple. Easy to work with and doesn’t cause rash or yarn burn on your tension fingers. Loving this yarn.

So this is definitely an interesting yarn. Almost like pleather. I do wish it were the same texture on both sides but it does clearly state that it’s single sided in the description. I actually got this to try some different macrame hanger styles. It’s fairly easy to work with for that use. Has a bit of give to it. Decent value. I think something like this would be more expensive buying in a craft store.

The yarn is actually a fabric cut into strips. It is shiny pink on the outside but gray and matte on the underside. The fabric is stretchy t shirt fabric, so for most of the time it makes the shiny to be all outside, but the gray still peeks sometimes and needs attention to make sure it is invisible
