This book just genuinely made me sob. Loved it

I normally don’t write reviews, but this book was so compelling. Other reviewers write of why the metamorphosis into a cockroach, but I think this is irrelevant to the story. This is a story that transcends generations as a person’s relevancy. It demonstrates that the salesman’s is needed when he provides for his family. When he wakes up as a cockroach, his family becomes apprehensive towards him. They eventually make it on their own and have no longer any use for him and he slowly fades to nothing.This picture is painted throughout modern society. Many individuals are only relevant so long as they can provide something to us or for us. The minute they are no longer useful or productive, they slowly become burdens on us until they eventually fade away.It’s a telling book that forebodes what may happen when we are no longer worthwhile to our families.

This is a cheaply made print on demand book. I'm also not sure if this is the entire book as it seems very short and the print is fairly large. I'll be buying another copy from a book store to compare. If it is all there, this is a GREAT option for classroom sets or if you want a cheap second copy to lend or give away. Maybe for a book club.

Terrible print on demand garbage with a terrible translation. Will be returning for a better version. You get what you pay for, I guess.
