Alright, so if you have bought and read the first one, man was it good no? Freddie's art is my favorite and the writing was good. I love Rita, she's like Skeletor for me, evil and camp. So of course I've been waiting for this one but ugh dang it! I didn't like the art at all, and I knew Freddie wasn't in on it so I wasn't surprised and then disappointed, I had high hopes for this new artist and then I was disappointed. The writing was meh, I could see some of Rita's campiness and some of her faces being drawn were hilarious but it wasn't enough for me to add it to my shelf. With what they were going for and what was written--man the art could have been insane! But it just wasn't for me. Major bummer. Oh well, I got my sights set on HeMan/TMNT crossover this August!!

Nachdem der erste Band mit seinem wilden Crossover-Charme überzeugen konnte, ist die Fortsetzung leider eine große Enttäuschung – vor allem optisch.Freddie E. Williams II, dessen dynamischer Stil den ersten Teil noch getragen hat, wurde hier auf das Cover reduziert. Stattdessen bekommen wir Zeichnungen, die oft wie unfertige Entwürfe wirken – grob, detailarm und inkonsistent. Es ist fast, als hätte man die Erwartungen, die Williams’ Cover weckt, bewusst getäuscht. Gerade bei einem Kampf zwischen Godzilla und den Power Rangers sollte die Optik mitreißen, doch hier bleibt davon kaum etwas übrig.Die Story war nie als tiefgehendes Meisterwerk gedacht, aber selbst mit niedrigen Erwartungen bleibt sie wirr und uninteressant. Statt einem packenden Schlagabtausch zwischen Monstern und Mechas gibt es eine unstrukturierte Abfolge von Szenen ohne echten Höhepunkt.Insgesamt fühlt sich Godzilla vs. Power Rangers 2 wie eine verpasste Chance an. Wer allein wegen der Idee dabei ist, kann vielleicht noch etwas Freude daran finden, aber ohne Williams’ Handschrift fehlt dem Comic das gewisse Etwas – und die dürftige Umsetzung macht es schwer, darüber hinwegzusehen.

Muliversal monster mayhem
A fast-paced book of muliversal monster mayhem. This book has good artwork and a bit of a plot, but it is all about the action really. It is the B action movie formula of going from fight to fight.The White Ranger is on the run through the Multiverse. With Rita and Godzilla following closely behind. Unfortunately, so far everywhere he has arrived, it has ended up destroyed, and the Power Ranger of that world captured. Who ate Rita's new powerful allies? Can the White Ranger find dome allies of his own? Who side will Godzilla take?This book could have been a lot better if some more details were filled in in the action/fights scenes. There were many panels I did not know who was hitting Who and which side was winning. The book follows the usual Power Ranger formula, so any fan can guess how it ends. However, it is still entertaining. I was also glad that the book contained a bit more of Godzilla's lore, monsters, and series as well. The book finishes with a varient covers gallery.
