Review: Excellent individual account of the Bomber War. - That the author survived so many operations over almost the duration of the war is unbelievable. He tells his story in a very down to earth fashion and it has immediate impact. It also conveys the hit or miss roll of the dice that spelled the difference between life or death. An excellent book and highly recommended.

Extraordinary Tale by an Extraordinary Man, Ted Stocker
I had the honour of working with Flt Lt Ted Stocker on many occasions during the 70s, 80s and 90s. I am so pleased he took pen to paper and left this lasting legacy. He was an extreamly modest man and I am so happy to have met him. It was with sadness to learn of his passing, the people of Great Britain owe a debt to all these hero’s. The book is a fantastic read and should not be missed, it depicts a truly extraordinary tale by an extraordinary man.

Incredible book for a personal look at World War II from a Pathfinders view. A great addition to any Aviation collection.

The person who was the subject of the book led an interesting and varied life. He states that his memories were greatly assisted by reference to his log book amd unfortunately much of it reads like that. ‘I did this operation then that one, etc’. The reader was left wishing for more detail.
