Q: One pic shows the pump is not flush with the rest of the lid to prevent accidentally pumping, but the bottles are not actually like this. Why is this?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. This is a rendering of the pressed down effect. The purpose is to protrude the surrounding non pressable parts, which means they will not be accidentally pressed out.

Q: Does the bottom unscrew for cleaning? It looks like it might but I don’t want to break it!

Just unscrew the lid, push the plunger to the bottom and it is ready to clean. The bottom part of the pump is not removable.

Q: Will TSA allow these via carry-on, since these do not have volumes indicated on the bottles??

I went to the web page and this is what it said: I believe they can tell by the size of the container that it is within the legal limits. These are limited to travel-sized containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item. Placing these items in the small bag and separating from your carry-on baggage facilitates the screening process. Pack items that are in containers larger than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters in checked baggage.
