I bought the 21mm version and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I found it works much better on a hard surface. I hit balls from my patio into my lawn. With a hard surface below, you will know every time you chunk it and every time you hit it perfectly. In my opinion, this improved my skill and I'm less likely to chunk it on a fairway. A compact dirt area may have the same effect. I found that it was just too forgiving when I placed it over grass. I also have been leaving it setup in the backyard. So far it’s been standing up well to the rain and sun. Overall, great value for the money!

Works well

The media could not be loaded. Received the mat and overall the quality seems nice. Went with the ultra version for the extra thickness. Foam padding is soft and mat doesn’t move when swinging. Mat measurements are a bit off 1 in of 5ft and almost 2 in of 4ft. Will try to update after use.

I’ve taken a few hundred swings on this mat and can share the following observations:1. I have seen no wear and tear so far.2. I like that the mat has sever different tee locations in case the mat wears over time.3. The mat is big enough for me to stand and hit with driver with plenty of room.4. The mat came as a roll, but after a few days of use it has flattened out.5. The thickness is perfect. It’s comfortable to stand on, but not squishy. I’ve hit some balls thick but felt no extra jolt.6. My only complaint is that the mat will shift after a few swings. It’s currently on my concrete garage floor which is smooth and slightly gritty. I think if I put some sticky tape underneath that might help. But I’m a bigger fellow with a fast swing so I may just have to deal with it. It’s really not that big of a deal.

Bought one over a year ago and it lasted a full year before finally getting a hole in the turf. This second one only lasted 33 days! Compared to the first one, the color was different and it was a couple of inches smaller, which I didn't see as red flags at the time but am now suspicious that the quality or materials have degraded since my first purchase.

It's not super soft, but does hold up quite well. It's been a year with heavy use, and just now showing wear.
