Over the Top and Back: The Autobiography
M**.
Mostly a good read.
I found the first two thirds of the book very good but I became less interested in the last part. Also I wasn't expecting the frequent bad language. I'm not a prude , I just thought that it wasn't necessary for quite as much as it would have been a reasonably good book without it. I was surprised that there was no mention of his frequent extra marital affairs and the son that was conceived as a result. The news papers gave their reports of his infidelities throughout his career but I would have liked to have heard Tom's side of it all...it is an autobiography after all . He was brutally honest with some aspects of his life but not with others. So I was a bit disappointed as I was so looking forward to reading it. On the plus side , the book contains lots of lovely photographs of friends and family which are beautiful.
