After going through a million options for our tough chewer, this one is a winner. We bought the hard density a year and a half ago and that one is still going strong. We also got the medium version just to see if she liked it better. And that lasted about 9 months so we just bought a replacement. It comes off in little dust shavings as they chew it, not in shards or pieces, so we feel much safer leaving her alone with this over anything else we tried. You might have to vacuum more, but for us that's a very small price to pay. She goes to this whenever she's a little bored or frustrated and it seems to be a great little coping toy for her. A+! It might be a little pricier than other options, but it lasts way longer (and is much safer).

Our American Eskimo puppy is constantly chewing. We've tried Nylabone and nearly every other chewing toy out there. They either ended up in little chunks that she swallowed (nothing like finding bright blue pieces in her poop all the time) or the destroyed toy had to be taken away within the hour over concern for choking hazards. She's a miniature monster that demolishes and eats every toy she gets. I discovered BetterBone on Amazon and what interested me most was the fact it was nylon free and designed not to splinter. I didn't have to worry about her eating it. That's what spurred me to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! My little princess LOVES these! She chews and chews, gnaws for weeks, and I don't have to worry about her eating plastic or rubber. The pieces have always been tiny, I never see a mess on the rug, and she's never had bowel issues from them. When she gnaws them to the point I start to worry about breakage, I get her a new one. The wishbone shape is perfect, allowing chewing on the knobby ends while letting the dog (or me) hold them in place. I loved them so much I got the larger size for my daughter and son's big dogs and they loved them too! I bought both the Puppy size and the Small size. The puppy size is VERY small, so keep that in mind as it could be a choking concern for a larger dog. Now that our puppy is bigger I only buy the Small. All I've ever gotten was the Medium hardness and that's been perfect for her. It allows her to chew without me fearing she'll break a tooth. No chewing toy is perfect. As an owner we always need to supervise and keep an eye on what our sweeties are doing. But the BetterBone is my #1 chew toy for and I highly recommend it due to its design, it's lack of nylon, the decent price, that it doesn't break into chunks... and it's my doggy's favorite.

Had to give it away. My vet did not recommend using it for my small dog. Too much chance of breaking his teeth. Would be great for larger dogs with stronger teeth.

Our dog loooves this bone! Doesn’t smell, durable and enjoys it for a good couple of months. Also is easy for him to chew on. My one downsize is all the particle that flake off of it when chewing it in the house. It’s definitely become and OUTSIDE ONLY bone.

Highly recommend. My dogs love these and they do last for our aggressive chewing lab. I would recommend letting them chew this outside, I do often see small parts that break off so we switched it to strictly being used outdoors.

My dog isn’t exactly what I would consider an aggressive chewer but this toy wears down super fast. Be VERY cautious letting your dog chew this toy an never leave them unattended with it. My dog was chewing hers and a very large piece of it broke off. Fortunately it startled her and she immediately quit chewing and came to me so no hazard of her choking. The piece was about the same diameter as a US quarter. I won’t likely buy another. Yes, I bought the appropriate size and strength. Just be careful!

This bone satisfies my puppy’s need to chew. It keeps her busy. It’s light enough so she’s she’s able to hold it while chewing it. There’s no microplastics so there’s no worry about toxins affecting her kidneys.

Better Bone does what every other bone company claims to do. My dogs love Benebones but they are so hard, I worry about my dogs teeth, and they bite off such sharp bits I step on, or they get snagged with carpet or blanket fibers. Nyla ones are so sharp they cut, but I don’t want to give my dogs real bones for their safety, as I have a strong chewing Cane Corso who can break bones in half. Finding a happy medium is not easy. Better Bone really works! It’s just the right amount of softness I don’t worry about their teeth, they really do just flake off into soft bits, no “like stepping on a sharp Lego” all over my house. Both my dogs love these. I do wish they came in more various shapes and flavors; my dogs love the flavor and shape of the Benebone Tripe twist, so it would be nice to give them something comparable from BetterBone.

I get the medium density beef flavour for my Pitbull. He is a very strong chewer and the vet said not to get a hard chewing dog things that are to hard because of potential teeth damage etc. He loves these. They last him a month. He carries them everywhere and are worth the price. Kong toys don’t last him ten minutes. The way I see it. For the price of toys these days you’re better off buying the Betterbone, plus it’s safe. He does have a lot of puzzle treat dispensers, but he gets those under supervision.

Soft is too soft, pieces come off easily. Medium is good if unscented. They were able to get the beef medium apart easily. Happy over all with the purchase. If the doggos did ingest any pieces they passed easily.

El mejor juguete duro para morder!!! Se nota la diferencia entre este y los que he tenido de Nyla-bone y Benebone; aquellos se nota que podrían durar más, pero el Betterbone me tiene mucho más en paz sabiendo que no es tan duro como para quebrarle un diente a mi chachorra mientras juega con el. Lo va rayando y se ve el deterioro, pero ha durado ya 3 meses casi y sigue en buen estado. Aparte de todo lo anterior, está hecho de materiales que son comestibles a diferencia de los otros que igual se rayarán…pero tu perro estará comiendo nylon y materiales sintéticos que son dañinos para ellos en lugar de los materiales comestibles y seguros de Betterbone. Me encanta y a mi cachorra le encantó desde el primer momento. 10/10 !!!!

This is what the bone looked like after just 10 minutes of chewing by my 32pound Border Collie. The "medium” is absolutely not suitable for medium sized dogs with strong jaws. If your pup is anything like mine, consider sizing up or choosing hard durable. Disappointed with how quickly it fell apart.
