Mitchell and Johnson JP1 Portable Electrostatic Headphone - Cherry Standard

I am no expert and I have just trasferred from £40 plastic headphones BUT these are incredible. The sound is very very clear. However wearing might be not entirely comfortable for some people.

Really terrible sound quality. They look pretty though. But don't buy them.

But you take a risk anyway.----update----I have to rescind the comment below about the right channel sounding duller than the left.I got these headphones because I mostly listen to EDM and thought DJ tuned cans should excel at EDM.I have had some surprising results:Melodic vocals are about the best I have heardHard rock is rendered with amazing clarityClassical strings singEDM is hit and missI am still worried about water damage but I guess that will only show up over the long term.If the box didn't show signs of mold then this would be 5 star.----End of update----The box had previously been opened. The plastic bag containing the cable had been ripped open and taped closed. There are signs of mold inside the box.Subjectively the right side seems "duller" than the left which makes me wonder if there is water damage, which may be much more significant given the semi-electrostatic nature of the headphones.I'll give them a week to see if problems occur and update this review.
