A light hearted interesting book with fabulous illustrations. Bonus facts are brilliant!

Very fun and easy to read

Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to Bitish Birds was a Father's Day present, but I need to add in a bit of background to the review.A year ago we moved to a house where the garden and surrounding bushes and trees were home to a goodly number of birds. I bought another book on birds from Oxfam and it really got my interest - my sense of humour. So I bought a couple of feeders and then made a couple and now we have more birds than you can shake the proverbial stick at. They have become a real source of joy to me and as some of them have quite distinguishing features it's good to see them back each day and getting braver in terms of how close they get to you for food and how long they stay in your company. I don't count them, or make lists, but I do love watching their behaviour and interaction with each other.This is one of those books that as you read it you can hear the voice of the author actually saying the words in your head. Like my new found friends the birds, this book brings a lot of joy, at least two or three laughs and smiles per page as well as some great facts (and bonus facts).I have been tempted to just sit down and, in my kids terminology, 'drill it out', but instead I have restricted myself to two birds a night and I am enjoying it all the more for it.Put quite simply it's a great, fun, informative, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable book.Like Bill Bailey? Like Birds? Then this is for you!Thanks for a great addition to my bookshelf bill!!

As long as one realises it’s Bill Baileys book which is written as if in child’s exercise book, it’s great fun with a few useful tips. Plastic “Crocodiles deter herons from your garden pond!’If it’s on kindle can be difficult to read as print is quite small

Fabulous book looking differently at our popular birds. If I have a complaint, he does not include all the birds we see regularly which is a shame but it is still great

If you like humour and birds, this is a book for you. I have always been a fan of Bill Bailey and have spotted the odd bird with birdwatchers who are keener than me. Amusing and informative!

This was a gift for my Son and he is very pleased with it. He visits the U.K. Every year and it will be very useful to him.

Bill Bailey not just a funny and intelligent Guy, he is a bird nerd and really knows his stuff.
