My '97 Volvo battery always dies after a couple of years due to "leakage" (they can't find where) and lack of use. It often sits for weeks without being started. I could "hear" the 2-3yr old battery dying earlier this month and I knew it was only going to be a short matter of time, so I bought this thing (NEXPOW Car Battery Starter). Sure as hell, my battery was *almost* completely dead this morning. Door lights would light and power door locks were still operational, but when I turned the key in the ignition, ... nothing ... not even a sound. Stone dead. I had charged the NEXPOW Car Battery Starter the night before (arrives with 2 lights indicating ~50% charged) and charging to full power to where all 4 lights were lit only took around 2 hours at the most. I read the manual (doesn't take long, it's really short) while charging so I was ready to try it this morning. It worked like a charm. Engine turned over immediately, sounding like it had a fully-charged battery. As cynical as I was per the size and cost, I was truly impressed. Drove down to my mechanic's garage and replaced my Volvo's battery. Done. Pros: Does what it says. Simple to use. Just charge it first, follow the connection directions, and turn the ignition. Couldn't be simpler. I'm no mechanic - if I can use it, anyone can. And you can't beat the price. Small and stores easily in the case that comes with it. Suggestions: If it was me, I would raise the price a few bucks, and make the cables to the clamps about 4-6" LONGER. I had no problem placing the unit over the battery and connecting both clamps, but I could see there might be problems with some vehicles, depending on the engine layout. Worked fine for me though. I'd work on improving the manual too, though I could read and understand the one that comes with it enough to do everything right the first time. 10 days after using it, I opened it up to see if it had any charge left after 10 days of non-use. ALL 4 lights were still lit, indicating it held a full charge for at least 10 days. Impressive! I will update this review if and only if I have any problems or issues with the NEXPOW Car Battery Starter in the future. But for the first time use, it worked great.

I am a dad with three driving-aged children, so we have SIX vehicles in our fleet, and I live in Nebraska so three of the cars have to sit outside in the COLD, COLD winter. I originally purchased this device in January of 2022, after dealing with dead batteries, but didn't have an opportunity to really use it (which is a good thing, because you don't want to have to use this regularly). The device sat for 10 months in the case. I had trouble getting it to take a charge beyond one LED (out of four). My first reaction was, "well I guess I have to buy a new one," but before I did, I sent the support team a quick email. The team from NexPow responded quickly, and asked me to try a few troubleshooting steps. Initially, the battery would not show any improvement, and Jane from NexPow asked me to try one last thing. I completely discharged the battery pack (I thought) and tried charging it to no avail. I plugged a battery pack into it, left it over the weekend, and sent Jane a note saying it didn't work. She told me I could have a full refund or a replacement, and I opted for a replacement. On Monday, I received a brand new unit, and NexPow asked if I could send the unit in so that they could analyze it to improve their products. Before shipping it in, I plugged it in one last time, almost on a whim, and the unit charged completely!!! I have sent the NexPow team an email offering to buy the replacement unit, as we recently had a VERY cold snap, and I want to make sure we have more than one in case of emergency. I'll see what they have to say, but I want to call out BOTH the quality of the product (since I was able to get it charged) and customer service that was probably the best I have received for a $70 device on Amazon! For those reasons I HIGHLY recommend this product. This is really an insurance policy for you to have in your car in case of emergency, so knowing that I have a reliable product with excellent customer service is fantastic peace of mind!!! I'll follow up if/when I have a chance to use this as a jump-starter! UPDATE: I did use this on my wife's car which sat through really cold weather for a few days without driving, and the electronics in the car depleted the battery to the point where it wouldn't start. I connected it up and it fired up on the first attempt. This is a very simple solution to use, and it works just as I would have hoped.

Well, let me just say, I don’t typically leave reviews unless I’m totally blown away or the product sucks so terribly bad. As far as this product goes, I just got it today and literally just used it for the first time and what can I say. It did everything it said it would. Been having a lot of car issues and the last issue was a bad battery. So I went and got a new battery, hooked it up, car started right up. Good as new lol. Go to use the car the next day and it won’t start. So instead of trying to find someone with jumper cables and have them drive to my house. I decided to give this a try. I was really going to get the top selling one on Amazon first but it was $99. This one is the second best. And it was about $50. So I figured what the hell. I’ll try the cheaper one and if it suck’s, I’ll return and get the more expensive one. Got this thing in 1 day. The carrying case it comes in is top notch. Like really well done and feels durable. Then to the jump starter itself. It definitely has a plasticy feel to it but by no means doesn’t feel super cheap. For the price I wouldn’t expect it to use any higher quality materials. It comes with a USB c cable and brick to charge it with. I let it get fully charged, plugged the connector in for the cables, hooked it up to my car and boom, fired up instantly. Checked the battery on the jump starter and it’s still full. I mean what more could you want. But wait, there’s more lol. It also has a built in flash light, and a built in battery bank for charging your phone or what not. Probably won’t be the fastest charging but better than nothing and is just an added bonus for what this thing is. It also has a USB C port for charging the device. Says out too so you may be able to fast charge with it. But all in all, I’m really pleased with this purchase. Will update over time if I have any issues.

I like that's this product is easy to use and it's portability. However, this is the 2nd one I had to order because the first one I had to send back. The reason why I had to send the first one back was because it wouldn't come to a 100% charge. I bought the original on November 2nd 2020. Then once I took it out of the box I did what the instruction said, by turning it on and then charging it. After a 12-hour charge, the fourth light never came on, to indicate that the battery was at 100%. it was only at 75%, which was the same percent that it was on when I first took the jump starter out of the box. When I called the customer service and they escalated my issue, they said they were supposed to get back to me in 48 hours and I never did. So I exchangeed it as a defective product. The second one that I just purchased and arrived November 7, 2020 and works how it's supposed to. Yay!

I ordered this unit because my battery died in the middle of the quarantine and I didn't want to bug my neighbors for a jumpstart. I figured that 1,500 amps would be plenty for my V6 and this unit seemed to be compact enough to keep in the back without a second thought. It also had a few extras I was pleased to see included and it was less than half the cost of a comparable unit at any of the parts places here in town. I wasn't going anywhere, so I hit "Submit Order" and settled in to wait. When the device arrived, I was pleased by the size and weight. The flashlight is relatively bright and comes with three modes: steady, Morse SOS, and flashing. That could be handy. I plugged it in using the included USB type C cable and saw from the LEDs that it had between 25% and 50% charge, so I let it juice up for a bit. It wasn't particularly quick, but it did get to between 75% and 100% in about half an hour. I decided it was time to test it. The battery pack comes with a separate dongle that leads from a plug that goes into a protected socket on the charger to a black box and then out to the alligator clips. The negative (black) cable is much shorter than the positive (red), which keeps them from touching and shorting out; that black box has another LED that lights up solid red if the clips are attached but the dongle isn't plugged into the starter and flashes between red and green if the dongle is plugged into the charger but the clips aren't connected to anything. If everything is connected correctly, the LED turns solid green. Once I had at least 75% charge, I took it out and hooked it up to my vehicle. Even without a completely full battery, this jump pack helped my SUV start right up! The unit even began to issue a beeping alarm so I won't forget that it was hooked up. Very nice. I recharged the starter using the included USB A to USB type C cable and tossed it into its included carrying case and into the back of my vehicle. It's small enough that it doesn't really affect the amount of cargo space at all but big enough that it's easy to find. I'm pretty impressed. I'm the kind of person who hates to bother anyone if I need a jumpstart. Now I don't have to worry about that, which is a load off, especially in the time of COVID-19. In fact, I might just get one of these for everyone in my Christmas list. Thanks for an awesome product!

This product has saved us on numerous occasions. I purchased four of these Nexpow jump packs to put in the trunk of my family member's vehicles. I am pleased to report that the item has proven itself on multiple occasions, as my children have both successfully used the jump start feature when getting caught out with a low battery. I have used mine several times as well, to provide cranking power while working on motorcycles and cars. The jump pack comes in a convenient case with the jump leads, instructions, and some other accessories. I put a full charge on them and handed them out to be stored in the respective trunks. They pretty much get forgotten while they're stowed away, until they are needed that is. They're a convenient alternative to jumper cables. The jump packs seem to hold onto a charge very well during storage. That being said, I make sure they get topped off when I service the cars a couple of times per year. This seems to work well for us. Of course, if they are deployed for jump starting, it's good practice to top them off more frequently. I did experience a failure with one of the units during the warranty window. I'm pleased to report that Nexpow customer service was responsive to my issue, and promptly shipped out a replacement. Obviously, no one wants a product to fail, but knowing that a company backs their product is so important. I can recommend this product to others, and purchased another similar unit (higher capacity)for my brother. It has been used successfully multiple times already.

This product is amazing! Thankfully I have not had to use it on my own vehicles much, but I have been able to helps others around me frequently! It is super convenient, easy to use and effective. Dead batteries are never convenient but this jump starter make the situation nothing to sweat about!
