So This Is War

I wish it wasn’t over 🥹
UPDATE:As promised, here is my full, honest review now that the book has officially been released. I always love books I can deeply relate to, especially when the author does an amazing job making us fall in love with their characters. We've been hearing from Posey throughout the entire "Agitators" series by Meghan Quinn, and it was so satisfying to finally see him receive the love he's been giving everyone since the very beginning when we were first introduced to him in book one 🥹🤍I love age-gap romances. There's something about a younger woman being with a much more emotionally mature and intelligent man vs ahem “boy” that just does it for me. ❤️The boss-assistant trope is one of my favorites as well, and I might have lived through it myself at one point in my younger days. 😉Wiley's relationship with her father also hit close to home. Her father tries to control and dictate her future, which, while not as extreme as my own experience, felt very relatable. The way they eventually overcome their differences and difficulties, with her father admitting his own trauma and realizing his mistakes, was touching. His effort to accept his wrongdoings and understand that his daughter was not to blame for his past issues made a significant impact. The level of teasing in this book was incredible—it truly felt like a declaration of war every time they tried to outdo each other! 🤣🤣🤣Posey's supportiveness was another highlight for me. Seeing the little Easter eggs about other couples, like Halsey and Blakely being married and Ollie and Silas loving each other, was delightful. Now the comedy was also just perfect🤌🏼. I usually don’t like comedic books but this was absolutely perfect. Meghan does such as great job in depicting a specific scene that it feel like I am the character and living the scene 🤣Overall, I loved this book. As the final installment of the "Agitators" series, it provided a fantastic conclusion. Watching these boys evolve into the men they were meant to be, working through their trauma, striving to heal for their own sake, and becoming better partners and friends was a beautiful journey. The portrayal of male friendships and the importance of men having other men to talk about their emotions, fears, and joys was genuinely touching. This book wonderfully depicted the strength and beauty of these relationships. 🌟____________________ARC Review_____________________I had the privilege of receiving an advanced reader copy of this book through Kindle and the audiobook version, and I am incredibly thankful to Meghan’s team for including me.I experienced the book by both listening and reading simultaneously, and I have to say, the audiobook version was PHENOMENAL ✨. The full cast did an excellent job, delivering a performance that truly enhanced the story. I’m so glad that more and more authors are getting behind this kind of audio rather than just for relying on one or two narrators.Without giving away any spoilers before the official launch date, I can say this book had me laughing from beginning to end. The title, "So This Is War," is perfectly fitting. The wait for this book was absolutely worth it. 😩The spice was deliciously executed, and this entire book featured some of my favorite tropes like the age gap, boss/assistant relationship, and a slow burn.I'll provide a more detailed review after the book's release to avoid spoiling it for others. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. 🤍Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Banter was bantering
This book was hot, hilarious and had me begging for 75% of it for the MCs to just damn do it already! I was edged so hard and like always.. I LOVED EVERY SECOND. It was full of spice and the side characters didn’t disappoint. The narrative was really fun. I liked the fact that they were “at war” with each other in their erotic torture tactics 😂 all in all it was a great palette cleanser book for me.Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

SPIIIICCCCCCCYYYYYY !!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Honestly best freakin MQ book.Meghan saved the best for last and did not disappoint with it. She delivered on all frontsPlot, humor , love , steam. 10/10 book if I’ve ever read one.I knew posey story was gonna be nothing short of amazing and entertaining. The funniest out of all the guys, I was belly laughing in the most public of place because of how crazy he is. Wylie was so unexpected I’m so used to the girls being so toned down but she was truly the perfect fit for him. They way the both live unreserved and fearlessly out loud was different for me. I love how honest they both are. Let’s also talk spice, because this was SPPPIIICCCCYYYY. The spiciest of MQ books ever. I enjoyed the storyline. You really felt every bit of the emotion this book had to offer. Wylies relationship with Levi that was beautiful. The heartbreaking moments with her father. MQ wrote a damn good book that kept you on edge the entire time. For a slow burn it didn’t feel like that. I know after a while I was praying for someone to break and never did it think it would happen in one of the spiciest scenes ever.No one earned their HEA more than Levi and Wylie. Thank you MQ for giving us the Frozen Fellas.I loved these boys. I loved these stories we were given for each of them. They were the best and truly most unforgettable books ever ❤️

Not what I expected
Too much sex and I really don’t say that lightly. I expected descriptive sex scenes, but I finally got bored and started flipping past them. There’s a decent plot but half of the book is just erotica at a level the book didn’t need. It wasn’t what I expected from the author and I’ve read a lot of her books. The coach was an overblown, abusive jerk to his players, but worse to his daughter - nothing likable about him with no explanation until almost the end of the book. I’ll pass on reading the rest of the series. I like the rest of the hockey players to the extent they were there. I liked Posey’s interactions with the players’ girlfriends. If you want a porn novel written loosely around a sports team, you might like it a lot. If you’re into hockey and want some actual gameplay, keep moving.

Hysterical
I never get over how funny Meghan Quinn is. Her books always make me laugh so hard while delivering a good amount of spice. This book is no different. Ever since meeting Levi Posey in the first agitators book, I knew I needed his story and holy smokes, this didn’t disappoint. The back and forth between Posey and Wiley was so funny and as always, the group text chats are hysterical, although the group chats are not who you think they are with!! So so good!!

great end to a great series
“Baby, I would hum music for you if you needed it.”LEVI POSEY IS HERE!!!! While I loved all the MMC’s in this series, his story was the one that I’ve been waiting on. He has brought me so many laughs that I knew it would continue in his book and man did Meghan deliver!“Well, maybe our first date can be a picnic with bologna sandwiches.”“Don’t tease me because that seems like the ultimate date.”Posey has been searching for a woman he met one night and fled before he could get any information. Imagine his surprise when he is introduced to his dream woman, Wylie, who is his coach’s daughter and extremely off limits. Now he has to do her fathers bidding as she works as his assistant while fighting the attraction between them.“Don’t you feel it, Wylie? Doesn’t it feel right to you?”Wylie was the perfect counter part for Posey. She was sassy, outspoken and not afraid to work hard for what she wants. She refuses to follow her dads plans for her and will do anything to follow her dreams, even if that means doing ridiculous errands for her boss.“This is going to sound like a Friends episode, but she doesn’t know that you know she knows, which means . . . ““Hold on a second . . . to quote Friends, the messer becomes the messee?”Their chemistry was sparking from the first conversation and just got hotter as their journey continued. I loved the interactions we got to see with Posey and the past leading ladies as he navigates through his feelings. The way that the men stood up for him during a very stressful time, had me all up in my feels. This group hit the “found family” trope on the best ways that kept me smiling throughout this story.“You were clearly made for me.”I’m sad to see this series wrap up but I’m so excited to see what is in store for OC in the next series.
