Will this work if I only hook up one of the speakers? It mentions not to power it on if speakers aren't connected so not sure if this will damage it

Can the input be from a "Condenser Microphone Cartridge" or does it need to be powered source?

We have never tried to connect a condenser microphone cartridge directly to the amp. Most condenser microphones require some small amount of external power. This amplifier works well when connected to a device with enough output power to play sound through headphones.

What is the speaker wire guage?

Don't buy these, works VERY poorly, get the small square round ones with the metal (silver) speaker cones, much better sounding and you can get better/smaller amp. 24g wire, with connector on end with pins too close together...
