A magnet-powered algae exorcism tool
If you have an aquarium, you already know algae isn’t a “problem,” it’s a lifestyle choice your tank makes when you’re not looking. One day the glass is clear and you feel like a competent aquatic steward. The next day your fish are living behind a green Snapchat filter and you’re squinting like an old-timey sailor. This magnetic cleaner is the fix for that. You stick one piece inside, keep the other outside, and then you just glide it around like you’re playing a very calming video game where the objective is “see your animals again.” The dual blades do a surprisingly good job on the normal film algae, and the big win is that you’re not dunking your whole arm in the tank like you’re trying to handshake a piranha. Also: it floats (at least the inside piece does) which is huge, because dropping a non-floating cleaner into a planted tank is basically signing up for a scuba mission you didn’t consent to. The magnet strength felt appropriate for the glass thickness range it claims. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to detach every two inches, but it also doesn’t feel like you’re dragging a refrigerator across the side of the tank. It’s the sweet spot where the tool is in charge, not your rage. Now here’s where Bob The Magical Talking Turtle enters, because she cannot simply witness cleaning. Bob The Magical Talking Turtle must treat cleaning like a sacred rite. The first time I used this, she watched from her basking spot like a tiny emerald museum curator observing a restoration project. Her red ear markings were fully visible, which is her way of saying, “I am alert and I am judging your technique.” I slid the outer magnet left. The inner magnet obeyed instantly. Bob The Magical Talking Turtle leaned forward like she’d just seen a spell she respected. Because if you’ve ever met Bob The Magical Talking Turtle, you know she appreciates tools that don’t mess around. Her shell is diamond-hard. She solves “liquid logic” puzzles. She is a sage beyond years. And when she sees algae? She doesn’t think “natural ecosystem.” She thinks “the realm is being disrespected.” This cleaner is basically a tiny two-piece “Key of Clarity” for your glass. It’s the difference between “my tank is mysterious” and “oh right, that’s my fish.” And yes, it absolutely triggers the Sock Lore energy. Because watching the water go from cloudy-green film to clear again feels exactly like the time Bob The Magical Talking Turtle helped restore a moon grove from creeping dark plague—when moonlight couldn’t shine through, and paths vanished, and the world started lying. Different setting, same vibe: a layer of wrongness blocking the view, and you removing it on purpose. There’s something deeply satisfying about it. Like you’re not just scraping algae—you’re returning sight to the kingdom. Practical notes: Works great for routine film algae and day-to-day haze. Floating inside piece saves you from tank-diving. Easy to control, doesn’t require brute force. Make sure you match the size to your glass thickness (this M is for 0.2–0.4 inch). Don’t freestyle it. If you want the simplest way to keep your tank glass clean without sticking your whole arm in and becoming “the wet human,” this is it. Bob The Magical Talking Turtle approves. Also she’d like to inform you that if you clean the glass, you will be able to admire her reflection more clearly, which is—according to her—objectively the main purpose of aquariums.

Game changer!
TL;DR: Took me about 15 minutes and the tank is crystal clear, not just “better.” Extremely powerful and far more effective than standard magnetic cleaners, especially for deep tanks. Total game changer. We have a fairly large, extra-deep freshwater tank with live plants, and this cleaner is on another level. I had been using a standard magnetic cleaner before, but this blows it out of the water. What used to take me close to an hour every week took about 15 minutes, and the tank is truly clear again. Between having a toddler and a job that involves a lot of driving, long tank cleanings were getting hard to keep up with. This made it manageable again. My son loves watching the fish and had even started pointing out that his side of the tank was hard to see through, except for the spots where the snails had cleaned the glass. A few things to note: • It takes a few minutes to fully saturate and really start scrubbing. Have faith, the change is just a few minutes away. I almost gave up and thought it was just a bigger version of what I had with a better handle, but then it suddenly clicked and the difference was obvious. • I used only the plastic blade and it worked extremely well. At first it seemed mild, but once the scrubber and blade fully engaged, it started gliding and cutting through buildup effortlessly. • I have not needed the metal blade at all. For my tank, the plastic blade is more than enough. I did accidentally nick a tiny bit of sealant at the very edge, so just be mindful near seams. Nothing serious, just worth mentioning. This thing is strong. Make sure your tank stand is solid and use more up-and-down motions if needed, because it will shift things if you are not careful. If you have used magnetic cleaners before, this will feel familiar, just significantly more powerful. I bought the large size and probably could have gone with a medium, but I do not regret it at all. It cleaned what I will admit was a very dirty tank in 15 minutes and made the glass crystal clear, including stubborn algae near the top that our snails drag up. One final note. It is wider than standard magnetic cleaners. If you have fixtures close to the glass, double-check spacing or move them before cleaning. Overall, this is leagues better than typical pet store options. Absolutely worth it.

Works great
Does great and has reduced the time I spend cleaning my tanks drastically. The only drawback is the scraper portion. This does not even touch the glass which is part of why I picked this one. This part is useless but the magnet portion is great.

Game changer for aquarium maintenance
Where has this been the last few years! Amazing tool. Made cleaning the glass a breeze. I've never has a magnetic glass cleaner work this well. Really like the fact the inside piece floats. Its a great benefit. Will be buying more for my other tanks.

so confused???
i'm literally so confused by the good reviews on this. The picture makes it seem like the scraper tool is going to actually touch the glass as you move it along. It literally is nowhere near touching your glass???Also, this magnet is so extremely flimsy. Every other magnetic thing that I have bought for my tank has such a strong magnet. this one is so laughable I cannot believe people are buying this for this price and giving it good reviews.

Weak magnet.
I've used different glass cleaners over the years. I bought this one because it was an "Amazon choice". The price was very good, however the magnet is very very weak and not strong enough to remove any algae. This is the weakest one I've ever purchased and I'm quite disappointed. No matter how good the price, it's too much if it just doesn't work. I probably needed the largest one, even for a 10 gallon.
