THANK GOD FOR A DECENT NIGHTIME REST-STOP
I'm 66 years old, ... with a night-time urge to "drain the vein", if one knows what I mean. I've used in the past everything from juice bottles in the 'wee-wee' hours of the very early morning, to a "standard" bedside urinal as one might receive when in hospital. All pretty much require a change of position, usually sitting up at the edge of the bed for use. I found this on Amazon, and ordered it. Thank God I did, as it's made my sleeping at night so much easier, and still allows me to get back to sleep without having to rise myself out of bed.At my bedside, ... it's hose and "receptacle" hanging by a withdrawn drawer of my night-stand, ... I'm able to reach and apply the "receptacle" to the area needed, ... and simply "go" without the strain and minutes involved to sit up within bed. I'm able to leave it for a day or two if I'm not able to get out of bed, ... when able, ... I drain and wash all components with "Lysol Bowl Cleaner" and hot water. A small bottle / toilet brush works very well for cleaning, ... and I'd suggest a weekly, or at least a monthly standing with a bleach solution for cleaning purposes. It's also a blessing on 'road-trips', where road stops aren't always available Mine came with a replacement hose, ... have yet to replace it. This is really a decently built item, not obstructive in size, and worth every penny I paid. On these cold winter New England nights, ... there is only one other thing better than not having to get out of bed, go into a cold bathroom to urinate. I think we who have significant others know what I mean by that statement!

You will never want to os
No problems so far, and it's vastly better than standard hospital issue. Rather than trying to maneuver a foot-long hunk of plastic, you're managinc a small plastic cylinder, _roughly_ 4" long by 2" diameter. The receptacle sits _flat_ on the floor at the end of a long, flexible tube -- not on end, ready to tip over if you breathe on it too hard. And it holds 2L, twice the capacity of hosp std.

Invaluable device for mobility challenged male patients
Very smart and comfortable health care tool for my elderly father. I’m caring for him post stroke, at home. The design is convenient and easy to keep patient clean.

Works great
Nice duragle, non-tippy urinal. I set it in a small wash tub, and drilled a 1/4" drain hole on the bottom of the neck so when it gets full I avoid the puppy dog effect from the little vent hole in the lid.

HANDY.
BOUGHT FOR MY 89 YR. OLD DAD & ONCE IN A WHILE HE STILL GETS URINE ON HIS PAJAMAS SO WITH THE BLUE CUP THAT YOU PEE IN WAS A BIT LARGER TO CUT DOWN ON OVERFLOW ISSUES.
