Hasn't got all of the number 1 hits as expected

It's nice to find out that Sabbath guitar is relatively easy - I've managed to learn a new song every 2 days. The solos are almost always pentatonic minor. The tab is pretty accurate - not that I bother learning the solos note for note - and I can't find a problem with it. Oops except that the intro to Fairies Wear Boots isn't there - but then it's the same as the mid section which is documented.

Bit frustrating as an intermediate/beginner player as straight away I found that a lot of the songs here are incorrectly tabbed in the wrong key. Some are just a case of retuning each string an extra half step (eg Sabbath Bloody Sabbath says to downtune all strings one whole step, but you actually need to do it an extra half step to match the recording). Iron Man is in the correct tuning (standard) but for some reason all the notes are tabbed a note higher than they should be. Bizarre. There are more of these too, these are just a couple of examples. Bits are missing too, notably the the "nobody will ever let you know' section of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath where it just shows chords (which don't sound quite right to me) and no tab. You're probably better off printing off tabs you'll find online – which seem to actually be more reliable than the book – when it should be the other way round. Disappointing as I wanted to be able to play these properly.

Ich wollte mir einige Sabbath-Songs antrainieren und suchte nach "anständigem" Liedmaterial. Ohne viel Firlefanz erfüllt dieses Buch die gestellten Anforderungen. Klare Noten und Tabs, ein Index zu den verschiedenen Spielweisen und die notwendigen Hinweise, wenn heruntergestimmt werden soll.

Excellent reference for guitar chords, lead and bass tab for Black Sabbath. Recommended for beginner to intermediate guitar players. Would suggest the buyer at least be familiar with the songs (of course).
