They Work!!
Our master bedroom is over our garage. Even though the garage is insulated, for the past 5 winters of living in this home, The bedroom has easily been 5° colder than the rest of the house. We have a nest thermostat and we have a second thermostat sensor in the bedroom. I would say that we got and installed both of these fans by mid-month Jan and you can see how much the energy use has gone down overall since. We did have a few very cold days this past week so take that into account but the temperature has stayed consistently within a degree or the same as the rest of the house since we started using the fan vents. We tried another brand first that had more technical bells and whistles but I find this one to be quieter and easier to set. I have the fan set 5, and it remains fairly quiet. I set the cold to off and I set the heat to kick on when it tracks below 70 in the vent. We are an all-electric home on a heat pump so I suspect if you had gas heat you would set it on a higher setting but with a heat pump, it's only using the recirculated air anyway so I set it lower than recommended. For our electric bill, the goal is to try to avoid the auxiliary heat kicking on. I am happy we have been able to do that barely successfully. It used to be that every night in the middle of the night when it was at its coldest we would use a ton of power. Just trying to maintain the temperature. It's a fairly large room about 10x 20 and we have two vents that are right near the windows and the edge of the garage, which would probably be the coldest part of the house. These are what we put the fan vents in. The other two vents are tucked away in the ensuite bathroom, and the walkin closet. Even though they keep those places warm, they don't put a lot of heat out into the room. These have been a game changer for us and I haven't done comparisons with our heating bill yet, but I expect it will help based on what our sense monitor is saying. I am just so happy to be able to shut the door up here and not freeze and not worry about using a space heater and to have this room stay the same temperature as the whole house. Definitely worth it!

Made a Significant Difference in an Upstairs Bedroom!
We really liked this solution for an upstairs bedroom that gets overheated through a roof, two exterior walls, and two exterior windows. It's at the end of the duct trunk, and there just wasn't enough air getting pushed out of the duct to balance out all that extra heat. We installed this register, quickly programmed it (took about a minute), plugged it in, and put it to work. I'd say within an hour or two, the room was cooled down to the temperature of the rest of the rooms on the top floor (previously about a 5-degree difference), and from there, it maintained that temperature beautifully! It's built to run at the temperature you set it to, pushing out any cool air from the ducts during the summertime (or warm air during the wintertime) to balance the temperature where you set it. It does not do the cooling itself, but rather smartly pushes the air out of the ducts to get you to the temperature you desire. That does mean you have to have that temperature air somewhere in the ducts, so this can push it out to you. If you're looking at needing a temperature adjustment of 5 degrees or so, this does an amazing job, and it does it dirt cheap! It's a lot cheaper, easier, and cleaner than going with a professional solution. It was well worth the minimal investment for us!

Great circulation
Easy to install fan vent. Fits perfectly in our floor vent and it was easy to use. When the fan is turned all the way up to 10 it’s kind of noisy but we usually keep it at 6-8 to really help circulate the heat and it’s not too loud. This vent has saved us in our freezing cold room, now it rams the same temp as the rest of the house. Definitely worth the buy and the remote is a nice touch.

Works as described. Raises the temperature of cold rooms.
Item arrived as described and performed as expected...after I followed the instructions correctly. It is comfortably quiet at speed 5, nearly undetectable by my ears. At higher speeds there is a noticeable whine, but that could be fine depending on where you need it. We used it in a lower level bedroom, so keeping it at the lower speed was less disruptive but it still had a pronounced effect. I liked it well enough that I ordered a second one for another lower level room. Unfortunately, the second unit did arrive with a defect. Happily, their customer service was extremely responsive and sent me a new unit immediately without having to bother with Amazon returns and rebuys, which saves me both time and hassle. I would buy again if I needed additional control for my lower level. This unit was less expensive than some other brands and fit our space nicely.
