Hammond's quality is, as always, high.
It's a Hammond enclosure, so you know it's well made. The plastic is pretty easy to drill and file, but it does get a bit 'gummy' when you really start filing at it. That said, this thing is tough (I dropped it from at least a meter with it fully loaded by accident). I don't know that I'd recommend this over the aluminum enclosures for something that you're going to use 24/7, but for a prototype or something to test-fit things in, this enclosure rocks.

Strong
High quality. Drilled 3 small holes in it and wired up 3 momentary switches for remote power switches for my server. Works great.

It is a perfect size for a NodeMCU
It isn't as tall as I thought, so I couldn't socket the NodeMCU, but it worked when I just soldered a few pins to hold it to the perfboard. Anyway, it's a Hammond, so it is a quality product, and even though it is plastic, it's tough plastic.

Nice, but do take note!
Read the dimensions very carefully, or it will trick you!I bought this as to do a Christmas project for my dad. It was to be "The internet" box featured on the BBC series "IT crowd". I started this out at 4 stars, but then remembered how crazy he went when he saw it. The box came, and to my surprise, wasn't as big as suspected. Still, it was easily taken apart, and put back together with a philips head screw driver, and drilling holes into it, were very clean! Just do note the interior dimensions, the LED box I had just barely fit, but it did. It's very clean, shiny, and small enough to display just about anywhere.. And it looks cool sitting in an IT office with a red blinking light, reading "Free Wifi"...

Serviceable, but size-wise, it is merely the best of a bunch of bad choices
Gets 3 stars because, like all the boards I could find, it is a weird size, either much too large or just slightly too small for all the breadboards I tried it against. In addition to being unable to properly fit any board I could find, it is also about a half-inch too short for many through-hole components.Other than that, it was what you'd expect from a lump of ABS - sturdy, but not too hard to drill/cut for the specific wires and gadgets that I put inside it.
