Quality Paddle, Interesting Design - and Quieter too!
As a novice player, I wasn't sure if I would actually feel or notice a difference in play compared to the other paddles I have been using. I started off playing with a cuter $40 price ranged paddle that fit the bill. I liked it aesthetically and it seemed to get the job done. Since getting that paddle I have gradually upgraded to 5 different paddles since I began, with each increasing gradually in price. This paddle has a smaller face compared to my others but is thicker along the edge. I immediately noticed a difference in the sound compared to my others. It is MUCH quieter. My husband and I even played around with it in the house and I didn't feel like the sound was deafening like the others I have played with. I also felt like I had a lot more control over the ball and was playing substantially better than I have in the past. I wasn't convinced it was the paddle until I switched with my sister who was playing with a super cute paddle she got as part of a set. Night and day. Seriously. So if some of these other reviews are way over your head with their fancy pickle-ease just know a nicer paddle really does make a difference in game play. Despite the fact that I find this paddle absolutely hideous (sorry) I will reach for it every time because I find my game play to be at its best with this paddle compared to others that better match my outfit ha!

This paddle is fantastic. Very nice, high quality build and beautiful design. Seems to be very well made and should hold up over time. No complaints!

Got for a raffle prize...
I got this item for a charity raffle prize as one of those exciting rewards you might hesitate to purchase for yourself but would be thrilled to win. Moreover, pickleball is gaining immense popularity in my local community lately and prizes like these go over really well.

Oversized, overpriced, BEAUTIFUL for display 3D print-faced paddle. What could go wrong?
Everything about this paddle has potential of greatness, EXCEPT covering its face with 3D printed material. Seriously?Sounds cool, looks cool..right? If you have a hot game...this will "cool" it down. For 150usd, I am most-certain you can find a higher-performance paddle...I can find more than two to buy for this price that will SERIOUSLY elevate most players' games....I can find name brand singular weapons that would be embarrassed for any 3D printed paddle on the court.XSPAK makes some good stuff. To me, this was an idea that should've stayed in the quiet, unsaid part.At this price point, GIVE US RAW, GRITTY, multi-directional FIBER! If you wanna advertise 3D printing as a huge selling point, do something in its core structure that's revolutionary, reactive material that sets balls on fire.

19 mm design – Control type paddle – Worth your consideration
The XS XPAK carbon fiber pickle ball paddle is my first 19 mm paddle. Its playing response is like an elephant – big and plodding (238 grams). At the other end of the scale, my 13mm paddle is like a gazelle – lightweight and quick (220 grams). Is an 8% heavier paddle that much different? The answer is yes. Most all pickle ball paddles are well made using layers of fiber-reinforced material (carbon in this case) over a honeycomb core to form a very lightweight and tight feeling paddle. The XS XPAK has this pedigree. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Likewise, pickle ball paddle feel is in the hands of the player. Some of us with quick hand speed will find the XS XPAK to be a hindrance. Other players will engage in games with bangers. They will like the way the XS XPAK absorbs fast volleys with minimal torqueing.Control in pickle ball play has several meanings. The ability to apply spin is control. The surface of the XS XPAK is not really gritty which does not lend itself to spin. I found this to be true in my playing with the paddle. Another meaning of control is absorbing powerful shots as mentioned above with bangers. I found this aspect to be true to a degree as it is not a large portion of my game. Other players say control comes into play in the dink game. I have not found that a 19 mm paddle helps in dinking. The XS XPAK has bright surface graphics having a blue-sky theme. It comes with a matching paddle cover. Overall, I found the XS XPAK to play well. It is for the intermediate player who wants to see what a 19 mm design will do for their game. I give it an A+ rating.

Pretty good paddle if you are looking for something on the heavier side
This paddle is thicker than most at 19mm and heavier too at 8.5oz. That gives it a solid feel and a pretty good sweet spot for both control and power. I didn't feel like the surface of the paddle allowed me to give the ball as much spin as some other paddles I have used do. The grip was very comfortable although not for smaller hands. I doubt if many ladies will like this paddle but guys might and if it's priced right it could be a good solid paddle for your pickleball play. It also comes with a cover.

Thick Is Good!
The first thing you may notice about the paddle is its thickness. It’s a full ¾ inch thick which is larger than other paddles I’ve played with. This seems to result in a greater ability to absorb hard shots which is great and allows greater control. Despite the thicker blade, the paddle feels light and is more handle than head heavy. The generous grip is comfortable and quite maneuverable. I’d rate the paddle a little differently than the product description. I found the paddle played more like this: Control 96; Power 95; Spin 94. It’s a very solid paddle. The (in my case, red) logo is striking without being obnoxious. The paddle also comes with a very nice over which is a great bonus. All in all, it’s a very solid paddle choice. I’d recommend to anyone currently playing with a beginner paddle and ready to move into the intermediate stage with an upgraded paddle. As I mentioned above, I don’t think the spin capabilities is as great as some other paddles, but if that’s not an essential part of your game, this is an excellent paddle.
