I’m super afraid of mandolins, but this one is THE BEST EVER! Super safe!!!

As a cheese grater it does ok but there just aren’t enough blades to make the job easy. It would work better if there were more rows of blades. But if you are using it to grate carrots or potatoes then this works just fine. It’s good thick quality plastic. The container comes with a lid and is nice for storage. There is an inner basket that you can use to wash vegetables in it which can also act as a food saver (keeping moisture away). It also comes with a handle which makes it easy to hold especially when grating.

This kitchen hand slicer has been a great addition to my cooking routine. It makes slicing veggies and other items super quick and easy, with consistent, even slices every time. The blades are sharp, and the whole device feels sturdy and well-made. Cleanup is a breeze, too—just rinse and go. It’s a real time-saver, especially when prepping meals. So I had my sister to use this thinking it would be quicker to slice radishes, she wound up not using the gripper to hold the radish and sliced her fingers. OMG! She found out how sharp the blades were.I showed her how to use it after and wound up slicing veggies myself.I would recommend not using it if you aren't sure how. It did a great job and I'm happy with it. I like the changeable plates.Perfect for what you need it for, slicing.

So effective that for a second I was confused.I have been trying different mandolins and been thoroughly dissatisfied with all of them. So many of them are too bulky, too hard to move, don't work efficiently, are difficult to clean and the list of issues goes on and on. Ultimately I thought I would never find a mandolin that would actually achieve my goals and had basically given up.Still, I had this and I figured I would give it a shot one day when I needed some thinly sliced onions.My first sentence of this review is 100% accurate. I did a swipe or two getting used to the mechanism and then looked down puzzled. What happened to my onion? It took me a second to realize that by George it had sliced the whole thing up in a jiffy without me even noticing, My jaw absolutely dropped.I haven't had results that good with a mandolin EVER.This was something special.Not too much effort to assemble, I love the compact size and the fact its idiot proof (one direction only different trays that are easy to clip in and puill out). Basic instructions with the option to fold everything into a single box. A separate colander within the container so you can simply lift it up and do whatever you need.Seriously this is the best designed product I've seen in a while. I now have plans for making onion rings because I have this product and the price quite frankly can't be beat.

This mandoline slicer is very versatile in the kitchen. It has 3 different blades: a julienne blade, a slicer blade and a cheese grater. It has a container that can be attached to the blades that catches everything that you cut, slice or chop. It also has a finger guard that prevents any injuries to your fingers. It is very lightweight and very easy to clean and wash.

Pros:- I really like that this tool was also it's own container. All of the slicer and grater plates, as well as the finger guard and the basket can be housed right inside it so that it does not take up extra room.- This comes with a basket for rinsing/draining produce as well as all different grating and slicing plates.Cons:- The handle feels flimsy so I always ended up holding the container itself while using it rather than the handle.- The plastic piece that holds the grater plate in place is not durable. It broke after only a few uses which left this product unusable. When that piece broke, I found that there was mold inside of it, between the layers of plastic. Since these pieces are not intended to come apart, there is no way to clean in there which led to the mold.Overall, I don't recommend this product.

The finger saver grip is a joke. It gets gunked up to where I had to get a knife to ungunk it. Using my fingers worked better. The design of the clips for the different blade attachments that go into the lid are no good. They are similar to toy battery cover clips that snap into place. The veggie slicer doesn't do tomatoes properly it shreds them hair thin instead of slices. I think potatoes will be ideal for that part for homemade potato chips and then the julienne blade for hash browns. This thing does open you up to more homemade recipes, but it probably will break in the near future if not careful.
