This is a brilliant sunbrella! I have another, which is pretty and lacy and works well but it's a pain in the backside to close up. This one has a button that both pops it open and pops it closed. All you have to do is wrap the strap around it and snap closed. Okay, I'd prefer Velcro, as I'm always afraid the snap will break but I hope this will last a good long while. I live in Arizona where it is ridiculously hot and sunny the entire year. I also have a severe case of sun photosensitivity, so this is not the place to live without protecting your skin. I'm packing for a trip to the tropics next week and wanted to take along a sunbrella so thought I'd give this one a try. I've already been outside to give it a go. Popped up and fully outright in a split second. Covers me well. I stood outside by the pool with my back to the sun and, though the backs of my legs quickly heated up, my arms were cool and comfortable. I took the umbrella away and immediately felt the difference. The black interior makes such a difference in protecting one's skin. The flower pattern is so cheery. Can't wait to walk the beaches, let the surf tickle my toes, surround myself with sunshine and not be touched by the wicked rays!

I've been having skin reactions to the sun with the high UV levels all summer and this umbrella is really great for when I don't want to reapply sunscreen. It's a nice size and it opens easily (perhaps a little aggressively). I think the design is really beautiful.

This works incredibly well. Used during Comic Con, midday in a line that was 2 hours long in a paved parking lot. I shared the shade with ppl close to me. It was compact and light enough to put in my back pack or the drink pocket. My only reason for not doing 5, was that the handle is short so holding it for long periods of time is a bit hard. It's a normal compact umbrella length though so nothing too in expected. My other reason is when I released the umbrella for the first time it was so powerful I almost hit the person in front of me without thinking. And it was a bit hard to re lock the umbrella after use. You get used to it though. Definitely recommend bringing if you need to stand in the sun.

This Cuby umbrella has been a life saver. It’s easy to pack, and seems to be made well. I have used it the shield myself for sun and rain. One thing to note is the umbrella had an unpleasant odor at first. After it aired out a while, the odor disappeared.

It’s just the right size & fits in a bag or purse. Love the sky colors inside. Haven’t tried it out sitting in the sun yet, but did open it up. As others have commented, it does take a bit of strength and 2 hands to close. Opening, too, takes some pressure on the button. It is light weight & seems it will be comfortable to hold. Gave only 4 stars because the snap closure is not long enough & takes some doing (at least for me) to wrap around the umbrella; it does fit ok in the sky-colored 😊sleeve Addendum: It works well for rain & sun protection, but does not tolerate wind; anything above approximately 5 mph it turns inside out. One rib of the umbrella broken

Actually really cuts the heat. While open in sun, hold hand towards top under it & you feel no heat. Mechanically works great. It is well built, thick material UV cover. Folds down easy, pops open fast. Very nice product for keeping sun & rain off.

Very Good Quality

I mostly needed an umbrella for the rain but I thought it a good idea to buy one which could be used as a parasol. I have just come back from a very hot holiday and this umbrella was my saviour. It really kept the UV rays off me and was my very own piece of shade everywhere I went. Haven’t used it in the rain yet but I have every faith in it. It’s a really nice quality, not particularly lightweight and you do need a bit of ‘force’ to collapse it back down but I think this all demonstrates its sturdiness. I’m sure if I can manage that as a weak seventy something then anyone can! It does have a curious fishy smell on arrival but that has faded now. You can buy umbrellas for a couple of quid but I’d recommend this one for a few quid more.
