I bought this because I wanted something inexpensive that my family would actually drink instead of letting it sit out until it went warm. Don't know how it is, but sometimes people with reduced mobility find an 8-oz bottle of water much easier to manage than larger ones. And the size is perfect for adding a single packet's worth of DripDrop (if you don't know this, please seach for it -- amazing powdered drink which makes a delicious juice-like substance that's also medically equivalent to the same amount of a hospital IV for fighting dehydration!). It's also easier to drink an 8-oz bottle than a larger one, which somehow makes it less intimidating and more welcome to a handicapped user in need of fluid.
