I purchased this case/keyboard combo for typical web browsing, text editing, and coding. I've had it for almost a week now and have been using it every day and loving every minute of it. So far, it has gone several days of light use on one charge. I noticed it has a sleep timer for battery saving. The backlighting is crucial for me and it's implemented VERY well; not obnoxiously bright, actually lights the characters of the key, not just the silhouette of the key. I really like the performance of the keys as well. They're slim and short stroke to accommodate the portability while still having just enough tactile feedback on key press to know you've pressed it. The keyboard takes a few seconds to 'wake up' and reactivate after being idle for a while, but not a concern for my specific case. For someone needing fast response mixed with idle time, this may not be the best choice. The snaps of the detachable keyboard SEEM less secure at first glance, but I can tell you firsthand those two little buttons could pass an OSHA safety check with how much force it takes to remove and attach them. Speaking of ruggedness, very solid and hefty feel overall. It was a fight to get the tablet into the case at first, but that only serves as reassurance it's not going anywhere. The case itself doesn't stay closed very well with that tiny little magnet, but it's a moot point for my lifestyle. For other, more physically active users, keep that in mind. Lastly, the little hiding spot for the S-pen in the front is fantastic and I'm very pleased with how strong the backstand is. Takes some force to get the stand into position, but you can be sure it won't budge without putting up a fight.

When you're buying a tablet case you usually have to choose between something rugged and bulky (highly protective) or something slim with a keyboard (very little protection). This is the only case I was able to find that does both. My first impression of this case was simply amazement. The materials and build quality are excellent. The rubber is soft yet thick and substantial. The metal hinge and buttons are sturdy and give a satisfying clasp noise when folding and closing, connecting and disconnecting. The keyboard is unexpectedly good. You'd think a tiny little keyboard is just going be cheap feeling and sort of a pain to use. But this doesn't feel like cheap at all. No, no. This is a high quality, premium product. It feels like a small mechanical keyboard. I was worried about it being a pain to connect the keyboard via Bluetooth every single time I need to use it but I was pleasantly surprised to find that after the initial Bluetooth connection the case automatically connects within about 2 seconds of flicking the on switch. The case also solves the problem of the loose pen terrifically. It gives you two pen storage options; 1. The usual charging spot on the back of the tablet (which, embedded in the case, is safe from being knocked loose 90%+ of the time and is what I usually use), or the slot along the bottom of the tablet (which is more secure and very useful if you are in a situation where the tablet is being tossed around, say, in a truck, outdoors, on a job site etc). Between those two options I never have worry about the pen getting knocked loose anymore (which was kind of a big problem when I just got the tablet and it was naked). And one thing I would like to add about the keyboard is that when it is closed it's beautiful and protective. It just looks awesome and I have no worries about putting it in a bag or anywhere else. All in all I would say it's perfect. It does everything I need it to do for my tablet. It gives me peace of mind to be able to pick it up and set it down anywhere. It has massively improved the effectiveness and usability of my tablet. 10/10. Five stars. Great job nilkin. You guys nailed it.

Although it's much heavier than I expected, it offers a good amount of protection. I like the pen holder on the front, so when you detach the keyboard, it's easily accessed. I would like to have seen the back of the case around the pen to be taller to protect the pen from being pulled out accidentally. Also, the snap-on keyboard is a little 'flippy' when detaching, this could show signs of wear after a while. A magnetic holder would be my preference. Overall, it's a good product!

The keyboard is high quality, backlit, battery lasts, type c charger for it. The case is strong and allows you to place S pen in back tablet spot or in the case's own secure spot. The best part is the detacheable keyboard. It secures with 2 strong buttons, and connects very easily with bluetooth instructions. When you just want a tablet you take it off and it looks great. Case also does not interfere with screen protectors. Perfect case/keyboard

The keyboard works perfectly and very easy to setup. The case is sturdy well made and offers very good protection. I also like how easy it is to attach the keyboard and take it off when necessary! Now the but. If you're looking for a pen holder to travel with Don't Do It! The S Pen falls off easily. Thankfully it only happened in my home! If that isn't a deal breaker than you have found a great case with keyboard.
