Not exactly what I expected. We have 2 cats, only one likes it and only alone (dry) or when mixed with bone broth... if I mix it with just a little bit of water my cat won't eat it. My second cad won't even get close it to.

it was supposed to be for cats. They refused to eat it. It has been used for dog treats.

I like the clean ingredients in these and that you can store them in the pantry. However my cat is not a fan of it. He liked it more when I mixed it with some goats milk and some salmon pate I had, but he barely eats anything when we give these to him. Yes we did the transitioning thing, over a few weeks but he still was not a fan. So for the price and the food wasted, this was not a product for us. So we decided to give Smalls a try and he will eat every single drop of that food! So now we stick with that and I only give him these of for some reason we have no other food for him on hand.

This is wonderful food; our middle-aged boy took to it immediately and devours it in one sitting at feeding time. He has lost all "food insecurity" that he used to have when his (very high-quality) kibble bowl got low. This food satisfies him so much that we keep only a very little bit of kibble in his bowl now. Although he is a large, active indoor/outdoor cat who is an excellent mouser around our ranch, he is also somewhat overweight. We expect he will lose weight eating this food, as he is satisfied with so much less food than before. (We feed him one block in the morning, another in the evening, and 1/4 cup of kibble; quite a bit less than the suggested amount for weight-loss. Amazing.) He is, however, sensitive - as we are - to the tryptophan in the turkey; it makes him sleepy/lethargic just like we are after eating turkey! Luckily, we obtained a sampler pack of this company's frozen raw formulas from a local store, and he is very enthusiastic about these meals as well. We plan to feed him one of these 'non-turkey' varieties in the morning, and feed him this turkey meal in the evening, when we keep him inside. The freeze dried form is extremely convenient; breaking the block into small pieces and mashing it up with a little bit of warm water takes about 30 seconds. Can not recommend this company's products highly enough.

I'm still trying to figure out something that will appeal to my older cat that ISN'T dry food. So far this one seems okay, he will mostly eat it when I add warm water to it when he's been only 50/50 on canned food lately. The downside is it's expensive, but raw food diets for pets is as a general rule. It does smell, but it IS actual freeze dried raw meat so when you add the water you're going to be able to tell. The upside is I can make it as moist as he needs while sprinkle it on other cats' food as a treat. I don't think I'll ever switch over to 100% raw diet with any pet, but this is a good meeting halfway point, and as a supplement to their regular food.
