The simple design does exactly what I need. The mounting plate is slightly bigger than Dell's standard. The extension screws solved the problem. It is the only product I found on Amazon can let the monitor sit on the desk for design work.

This little monitor stand is very sturdy. While it may have a plastic finish, it's all metal where it counts. That added weight, plus a sturdy wide base will make this perfect for point of sale touch screen applications.My usage is a little different, as I am using it for a smaller reading monitor (10 inch) on the side of my main monitor array. Either way, it's a surprisingly high quality stand. The only thing it doesn't have is the ability to rotate the monitor should you need that.Overall it's a great piece of equipment at a respectable price point. Recommended!

It's a good product, but be cautious if your monitor has recessed screw holes or is a bit larger. I have a 32in flat screen 4k monitor it won't hold off where it now sits on my desk shelf. It does fine keeping it propped up though and feels secure as it is.
