I like the laser beam since you can choose your target in case it's not entirely flat (i.e. if it has bump-out features that you may want to include or exclude depending on your objective). I knock one star since the UI/button labels are somewhat non-intuitive. If I don't use it for a while, it's easy to forget which button is the "off" button. Trial and error solves this quickly, but indicates that it's not completely intuitive.
