Avtex L219DRS-PRO 21.5″ Inch 12v/240 Volt TV with built-in HD Freeview/Satellite Tuner DVD/PVR Record

Having had two Avtex TVs in my caravan I thought I would save some money and buy a cheaper brand. Big mistake! Picture quality and sound were appalling. I bit the bullet, ditched the cheap set and went for another Avtex. This TV simply oozes quality - the picture is pin sharp and, having lashed out on the sound bar as well, the sound is amazing. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Used to replace our existing Avtek TV which was getting old. Bigger screen with less surround. Great product.

I have found an opportunity to run TV in the caravan using DAB antenna so it looks ok except remote control which requires a very close contact to the TV, a bit annoying... I am not quite sure it is really HD, it seems it is HD ready rather than HD... Sound quality is ok... It was also easy to search digital channels using DAB antenna... Build quality seems OK. Bottom line it is pricey and with annoying remote control, I rate this TV in between 3-4 star... Price should be really not more than £250...

I like the easy operation of the functions. Sound is loud from rear of TV due to speaker location, our previous Avtex had speakers on front , much better in close confine of TV location in caravan.

What a pile of crap. To test the picture I loaded up a couple of DVD's and was shocked how poor, no bad, no awful the picture "quality" was. Everthing looked like a badly drawn cartoon rather than real live actors. I have an old Hitachi LED TV (which this Avtex was supposed to replace) from 2005 that has a better picture. It's going straight back. Thank God for distance selling rules or I'd be saddled with this junk, and yes it really is junk. UPDATE - I have looked at one of these items in a local store and somewhat incredibly, yes, the DVD downgrades the image to output to 640x480 or 576p, remember that picture quality? And it doesn't do a good job either. At £399, this TV/DVD combo is bad value when a cheap supermarket TV and Bluray player costs around £150. Did Avtex buy a job lot of DVD players back in the late 1990's and are still trying to use them up? So basically, if you want to just play DVD's in your motorhome or caravan, don't buy this item.

Very happy, perfect size for us. Nice and slim and doesn’t get in our way when going in and out motorhome (right at outer door against wall) quality and sound is good

My only complaint is that when the lis of programs is displayed, usually what’s on now or later is not displayed. Rang Avtex, and told only Freesat have the rights to this.

Excellent tv it’s the second one I’ve bought, low power drain excellent picture

Es wird ein nicht in Deutschland verwendbarer Stecker mitgeliefert – das hätte zumindest in der Artikelbeschreibung erwähnt werden können. Ich darf nun herausfinden, für welches Land der mitgelieferte Stecker konzipiert ist, vermutlich UK und wir auch noch einen Adapter organisieren. Die beigefügte Bedienungsanleitung ist ausschließlich in Englisch, was sicherlich noch heitere Momente bei der weiteren Erkundung des Geräts bringen wird. Es liegt außerdem keine Schablone bei, mit der man die hinteren Löcher für die Befestigung an einer Wand einfach übernehmen kann; man muss sich diese dann selber basteln. Bei dem Preis einfach ärgerlich und unprofessionell. Der erste Eindruck ist somit ein durch aus negativer.
