Smart X Pro with Ai My first gimbal and it works fine on my Samsung S24 Ultra with a Nillkin thin case on. No need to take the case off and phone isn't too heavy. Great features that I'm still learning but well worth it. Video and photo quality is great. Build quality feels good. Nice and versatile enough to fold down fairly small for a bag or pocket.

This is comber some to use for larger phones because the arm get in the way when it rotates. the tracking is not reliable and and gestures don't work half the time.

From the moment I opened the box, I could tell the Gimbal Stabilizer was a high quality product. The presentation alone impressed me, everything was neatly packed, and the gimbal and accessories give out a sense of durability and craftsmanship. The gimbal itself has a nice weight to it, feeling sturdy and well-made in my hands. As someone who has never used a gimbal before, I found the initial setup a bit confusing. However, downloading the accompanying app opened up a wealth of features and provided access to numerous videos and tutorials that made the learning process much easier. You can also pair it via Bluetooth and use it standalone, but I recommend the app for its extensive features. While I haven’t fully mastered all the functionalities yet, I am excited to continue exploring. The stability the gimbal provides is excellent, and it's incredibly easy to manoeuvre, making shooting a smooth and enjoyable experience. The focus and zoom functions are intuitive and add a professional touch to my videos. One of my favourite features is the light on the back, which is useful for low-light shooting. The gimbal also offers the convenience of wireless charging for my phone, which is a lifesaver when the battery gets low. Additionally, with just a press of a button, I can effortlessly switch between horizontal and vertical shooting. Overall, the AOCHUAN Gimbal is an excellent investment for anyone looking to enhance their mobile videography. Despite the initial learning curve, the quality, functionality, and extra features make it a standout product. I'm eager to unlock its full potential and take my videography to the next level.

This is a review of "AOCHUAN 3-Axis Phone Gimbal, Gimbal Stabilizer for iPhone w/AI Vision Sensor, Portable Gimbal for iPhone/Andriod, iPhone Gimbal Built in Fill Light Perfect for TikTok YouTube-Smart AI XPro Grey" This arrived very smartly packaged, proper quality stuff. I have only ever used a phone gimbal once before, and it was a different brand. Now having recently acquired this one from AOCHUAN, it's a very steep learning curve... The device itself is clearly a high-quality piece of kit, there is nothing cheap about it, the included accessories, or even the packaging. Accessory-wise, included in the package is a tripod (small obviously), a USBc charging cable, a compact manual and a magnetic AI Sensor. I found it very straightforward to download the Aochuan app from the Apple store. Unfortunately (and even bizarrely), while the app offers several very useful looking tutorials for the various phone gimbals from Aochuan, this particular gimbal - the Smart AI XPro - is not covered. That, plus the fact that the item is marked as 'Currently Unavailable' on Amazon makes me wonder if this is either a very new model or alternatively an obsolete one... There are tutorials on the X-Pro and this one looks very like my model - with the possible difference being the inclusion of the AI Sensor? I am enjoying learning how to use this device - I just wish it was fully covered in the app tutorials like the other models. I own several phone Gimbals including the latest offerings from both DJI and Insta360 so when I was offered this to review via the Amazon Vine program I was intrigued, who on earth wrestled Aochuan and how have they managed to fly under my radar? I don't have hundreds of test hours in the bank yet but my first impressions are very favourable, I honestly feel that it compares very favourably with the 2 aforementioned gimbals whilst having one distinguishing feature that neither of the others have, a user replaceable battery , something I thought I would never see in this kind of tech. On downloading the App the gimbal was found instantly, we are talking Apple level pairing speed which is always a good experience, and the app itself will be familiar to anyone who has used a gimbal before as most features are those commonly found in all brands , it's just a slight retraining of muscle memory. The gimbal itself is light, it feels much lighter than my other gimbals, something which I put down to the fact that it hasn't followed the trend for a built in extension pole, but it's non the worse for that. A couple of features I particularly enjoyed using were the zoom wheel on the handle and the detachable AI module. The zoom wheel is designed to be operated with one's thumb and provides an easy way to change zoom without having to resort to touching the phone screen, having now used it I wish all manufacturers would consider putting one of these on, it is intuitive, very much like a focus puller. The AI module clips on to the top of the Gimbal magnetically and gives access to features such as advanced tracking and gesture control, both welcome when one is a solo shooter As for performance, in my test so far I have been quite happy with the stabilisation provided on both an iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 15 Pro Max, both of which were Childs play to balance, I was even able to add an anamorphic lens to the iPhone 15 without overtaxing the gimbal motor. Last but not least the inclusion of a built in fill light on the rear of the gimbal arm is more than welcome, it isn't super bright but more than adequate for its intended purpose. In conclusion, this is a budget gimbal that offers a lot more than it's price would suggest, if you are dipping your toes into stabilised shooting and budget is a priority I doubt this will disappoint.

This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it. I was particularly drawn to it, because I have never really used a phone gimbal before - I like to shoot short wildlife videos on my phone from time to time, so was looking forward to the possibility of being able to make these more stable. Physically, the kit appears to be of good quality - each component feels robust, with a sleek and smooth finish, making the whole device ergonomic and nice to hold. You can attach the face tracking gadget magnetically to the top of the gimbal - this holds strongly, and then there is also the option of the removable tripod, which provides a sturdy base. As the kit is very lightweight and compact, it would be ideal for storing in most camera bags. If I'm completely honest, I found setting up and using the device a challenge. Firstly, the included instructions are printed in small, silver text which is hard to read. It is possible to download the app, and watch the tutorial videos within it, however, some information is missing, most notably for the face-tracking device (the videos don't cover it, at all). The main crux of the issues appears to be occasional poor response from both the gimbal and face tracker controls - I would sometimes find myself endlessly pressing the 'mode' button to change the axis/rotation, however nothing would happen/the mode would not change. This is especially prevalent on the face tracker - the mode button does not respond at all to double-clicking - it would only change if I held the button down. Once I had eventually worked out how to get everything in balance and operating normally, I recorded some test video, to see how well features such as the face tracking worked. Again, there are definitely issues here - the hand gestures required to activate tracking/recording are too similar, so the app will often become confused about which action you want it to take - the 'OK' gesture in particular was really finicky - I had to try positioning my fingers in a number of ways, until the app would finally accept the gesture. That being said, the tracking itself is excellent - it can detect even the slightest of head movements, and will follow the face accurately. Generally, the other rotational movements were smooth, too, with the gimbal's joystick providing precise changes of direction. I was able to use the focus wheel and zoom slider within the app, though I would say that the zoom in particular is quite slow. So far, the battery life has been very good, and of course the USB-C compatibility provides lots of options for recharging (such as a power bank - great for filming on the go). Something that concerned me a little during use, was the fact I could smell plastic - on further inspection, the section of the gimbal that held the phone had become very hot (even in a relatively cool room at the time). This isn't ideal, and leaves me wondering about the overall safety of the device. In summary, when it works properly, it works well. I'm just unsure if I could persevere with it, given the control and overheating problems.

This gimbal is simply amazing. I have recently started taking videos for my business, plus for my travels. I’ve used a few gimbals previously and have to say this one is definitely an upgrade. The gimbal is easy to set up. I charged it using the included USB-C cable, and installed the recommended software. Note that with the AI Vision sensor that you don’t need to use the software, as it will interface with your native phone app (I was using an iPhone 15 in a phone case). With the AI sensor it allows you to do many of the things the AOCHUAN app will do, including tracking and gesture control. But if you’re using the app (which I recommend), you probably won’t find any improvement using the AI tracker. Now back to the gimbal setup. I used the app and paired the device with my phone and it worked immediately. The gimbal has a great digital display that shows the battery power, plus the setting it’s on. The settings will allow it to do horizontal tracking, panning, point of view, and full follow. It doesn't call them by those names, but that’s basically what it does. It also has a decent ring light that lets you add a little extra lighting to your scene if you’re close, and a mini-tripod that can be attached to the base. The gimbal has the ability to go zoom / wide using a button on the side, plus a well-textured scroll wheel on the side to manually focus. There’s a record button, plus a small thumb joystick button to move the head through its motions. As for weight, it’s actually not too bad and I’d be more than happy to make space for it in my travel luggage. The app has quite a few features that are extra helpful for your use. These include things such as “Hitchcock mode”, “Inception mode”, and more. The ones that I was drawn to included an added anti-shake mode, gimbal joystick adjustments (I reversed the movements), speed of moving, time delay photos, and more. While not app-specific while using the AI sensor, the gimbal can do things such as track faces, bodies, or specific objects when selected. And that’s simply amazing to me.
