I have issues with my neck and migraines. My chiropractor recommended a rapid release tool and after searching Amazon, the Hyako Pro seemed like a great product and well priced. I bought one and I absolutely love it. I use it every day wherever I am hurting and it really helps. The small metal tip is perfect for the area where the base of the skull meets the neck to work out knots and relieve tension. It is particularly convenient that you just need to turn the massager to the tip that you want to use. No searching for and switching attachments like those massage guns. It is also powerful and the charge lasts a very long time. A few weeks after I got mine, I sent one to my son as a gift to help with his sore muscles and tight calves. He loves it too. After several months of use, mine is working perfectly but his stopped working properly. I contacted customer service and Hyako responded within minutes and told me they would send him a free replacement. He received it a few days later and he is thrilled to have his favorite massager again and just in time to take with him on vacation. We both highly recommend this product and are very happy with how the company stands behind their product and their warranty.

My acupuncturist used this on me and I ran home and purchased it immediately, this is so much better than a massage gun, as a massage therapist, I know the damaged that be done to tissues and lymphatic systems, especially in older or more fragile bodies ... This does the work with no pain, no deep pulse, its very superficial but the speed makes it deep and much broader than the massage gun, gentle, feels amazing, safe and super effective... LOVE this and cant say enough about how good this is... stop looking , buy this

I have some chronic muscle pain issues - and try a variety of movement and exercise daily. The Hyako is not a percussion massager. I'm not a fan of percussion massage which often creates more pain than benefit and is not optimal for massaging thinner sheets of muscle. Rather, I have found kneading massages (think Shiatsu) or gentle orbital massages (like MedMassager units and now the smaller Hyako) are best. This is a (gentle; depends on settings) vibration massager and can be run over just about anywhere and has multiple options for which contact surface to use - including a tiny point for intense force on a small area. This has reduced pain sensitivity for me allowing less stiffness and better sleep. 5-10 minutes all over the legs, glutes and lower back works wonders. I personally often use the edge of the machine between the two steel prongs and find it just right even on the lowest power setting. One reviewer mentioned best not to use directly on skin - that's probably true - I would suggest on the outside of garments or throw a towel over the area and massage through that as some of the silicone contact surfaces could bind otherwise. This is powerful and adjustable and I'm going to be using this daily for a long time.

Love the massager, but on the ad it said long battery life 6-8hrs. I only got 2-2.5hrs even on the lowest setting. Then I just read in the enclosed pamphlet that it’s only 3hrs.??? It takes about 6-7hrs to recharge fully. I ordered another one and it was defective, works but gets loose or uneven at the neck.. concern that it will break soon and I only used it for 1.5hrs. Big dilemma about quality of product.. but I do like it. I like the concept and ease of use. Heat is a hit or miss. Will return the old one, and ask for an exchange for the new one. Last try. But would like to know exactly the battery life of 2-3hrs or 6-8hrs as advertised in the ad. 3/24/25 This is an updated review giving a 5 stars. Euan the product manager reached out to me promptly to address my concerns and sent out a new replacement. Which works as very well. Battery life is about 3hrs and depending what level of power is used. I truly love the concept of the massager and the eased of using r with effective pain relief. **Updated Review as of October 12, 2025 — HYAKO Pro R1 Max (After Extended Use)** As a personal trainer and coach, I initially had high hopes for the original HYAKO Pro R1 but ran into a few issues with durability over time. The great news is that HYAKO’s customer service was absolutely top-notch once I brought those concerns to their attention. They immediately reached out and offered to replace my unit with the upgraded R1 Pro Max, which was designed to address the very issues I mentioned in my first review. I’ve now been using the R1 Pro Max weekly for several months, and I purposely held off on updating this review to make sure it could hold up over time — and it absolutely has. The build quality is noticeably improved, the performance has been consistent, and the overall power of the unit is excellent. For context, I’ve been testing this side by side with a much more expensive competitor (Rapid Release), and the R1 Pro Max has held its own impressively well. In fact, when it comes to portability and self-use, the R1 Pro Max is actually more convenient. I’m very happy with this version of the product and can confidently say it’s worth recommending — especially for fitness professionals or active individuals who want a high-quality vibration therapy tool without spending over a thousand dollars. **Original review** As a personal trainer/Coach I was really hoping to like this and being able to recommend to clients that can’t withstand using the percussion guns. The product is good in the first few weeks of use but with more use the head gets looser the noise level raises. Retuned my first one (really good customer service) but replacement came and within a month of purposely lighter/limited daily use, the head started to separate from the body again and make a lot of noise. Unfortunately, can’t waste another $100+ USD on this again. I’ll see if I can return this one because do I like the vibration concept but if not I will probably look to spend a little more money on the rapid release brand since that I what I was introduced to by my chiro originally a few years ago when it was still $1,500 usd. Again it is really good for a couple of months or really light use. Battery is really good on this unit as well but at $100+ I can’t recommend for an avid user or gym goer.

This is a powerful massage tool! I use it on myself and clients. I had one client recently exclaim what a difference adding in this tool for part of the massage made for him. People also love it on their feet! It’s really helpful for tight muscles. It has 4 different tool heads with additional covers for decreasing intensity. These help with different applications and there is a great video available to watch which explains how to use each of these. Because of its great handheld design it’s easy to hold and operate. It’s easy to charge and it comes with a nice carrying case which is protective and small enough that I don’t mind bringing it to work or travel. I’ve never run out of battery life on my shift and since it’s rechargeable there’s no need for cords or batteries. As a professional massage therapist I highly recommend this Hyako massage vibration tool.

Ich benutzte eine Massagepistole schon seit 2 Jahren, habe mit der anderen durchaus auch Erfolge erzielt. Aber dieses Gerät hier von Hyako ist eine ganz andere Liga. Die normalen Massagepistolen sind vom Gefühl her wie ein Hammerschlag, sehr hart und erreichen nicht die Umdrehungen, die dieses Gerät hat. Und man muss umständlich verschiedene Aufsätze draufmachen, wenn man die Anwendung wechseln will. Hier nicht, die 3 Aufsätze und noch dazu die flache Fläche oben denken alles ab. Und vom Gefühl her, ist es halt eher ein Vibrieren statt ein Klopfen, sehr wohlig mit der flachen Fläche, gezielt mit den anderen Teilen. Meine Frau hatte die Pistole immer als unangenehm empfunden, bei dieser hier war sie begeistert. Ich habe in 20 Minuten Spannungen in ihrem Rücken spürbar lösen können. Übrigens schreibe ich hier als Privatperson, kein Sponsoring oder dergleichen. In den höheren Stufen dringen die Vibrationen spürbar in das Gewebe ein. Das Gewebe wird gelockert und tatsächlich auch zur Behandlung von Faszien. Oder auch als Akkupressurgerät an den Triggerpunkten. Und auch an den Füßen tut es sehr gut. Fazit: ich bin wirklich begeistert von diesem Gerät. Lieber mehr Geld in die Hand nehmen und etwas zu Hochwertiges wie dieses Gerät kaufen.

This massager is excellent. I have an inflammation in my Achilles tendon and today after my flair up , I decided to use this massager and see if it actually works. So I did and I noticed , unlike the Thera gun that I have, this works more like the tens unit my physio therapist uses on me and my pain dropped down dramatically, apon use. Don't think, just buy. No regrets. None whatsoever.

Wir haben bereits eine Massagepistole, die aber zuweilen auf bestimmten Körperregionen unangenehm ist. Dieses Gerät hat mich voll überzeugt. Es ist nicht schlimm, wenn man bei der Massage mal an einen Knochenvorsprung gelangt. Die verschieden großen Köpfe sind ideal um punktgenau zu arbeiten. Bspw. bei Verklebungen am Schulterblatt kann man damit sehr schon entlang arbeiten. Verklebungen und Verspannungen schmelzen unter dem Behandlungskopf förmlich dahin. Und das selbst bei relativ kurzer Verweildauer auf der zu behandelnden Stelle (30-60 Sekunden). Das Gerät ist von der Lautstärke her angenehm. Die Vibrationen werden nicht in der Form auf den Behandler übertragen, wie man das zum Beispiel von der Benutzung eines Schwing- oder Excenterschleifers oder einer Flex her kennt. Nach der Behandlung hatte in an meinen Händen kein Kribbeln. Der Hersteller Support ist spitze. Sehr freundlich, kulant und schnell. Ich gebe für dieses Gerät eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Use it daily. Comfortable to work with. . Arrived charged for immediate use. Good for overall body. Vibration easier on body than percussion massagers. Consider it an invaluable tool in my health toolbox.Have given it to adult children.they too are finding it very useful.
