Batik: Modern Concepts and Techniques Hardcover – March 1, 2003

I am restarting batik projects. I love this book due to it's info on types of dyes and time spent on process.

Did not have the wealth of information I hoped it would have, but it had some. I would not recommend it.

This is still one of the best books on batik. Great for beginners and wonderful for advanced.......inspirational and well written.

some people were born to each, some had teaching bestowed upon them, this man is a genius and willing to impart knowledge. I would bestow upon him the Japanese title of "Sensei". This is the only text one needs if learning about fabric Batik. There are recipes on how to make various waxes and their uses, there is advise on equipment and health and safety issues. This book does not hold back and here are pictures of the master's work and examples for inspiration. For students and teachers

In excellent condition. Good history and types of Batik. Not so good for instructions on how to do yourself.

a good read, good tips

It is not a book where you can learn to do anything, it is just a review book, or lets say information book. So, not worth the price I have payed for it.
