The seal will break then you would have to take the part off and then pick it out, part is garbage
Bit of advice for people make sure you put a bit of oil round the seal but I bought 3 one of them in my st line fiesta which I’ve looked after and maintained well does still give it boost but I’d personally recommend getting an official vac pump replaced because these parts are cheap plastic and compared to the original they don’t give the right amount of vacuum / boost it should and it can cause engine wear.

Poor product
Poor quality item, after paying to have it fitted, the internal part has broken up. I am unable to return as car won’t drive until I purchase another replacement part
