I got these to freeze and keep food and beverages cold without ice, and also to boil them to help keep coffee hot. The listing says they are corrosion resistant, and made of chrome steel, not chrome plated. However, see the photo of my rusty “chrome steel” balls. These are NOT food safe. I got these to use basically as tiny pocket sized Baoding balls, and they work really well for this. They make a satisfying noise when they rub together, and spinning them in your hand is quite relaxing. They are also great for massage when you just roll them around on your leg in the palm of your hand. They would undoubtedly also work well as small weights, ball bearings, or the cores for monkey fist knots for ropework, or perhaps even as tiny cannon balls for small reproduction cannons.

These were good quality Chrome steel ball bearings. I used them with my force gauge to measure the pressure of a vice and had them under around 2 tons of pressure and they held up just fine. Not even a scratch under all of that pressure. I would recommend this to anyone who needs some.
