Chemical taste
I am normally a big fan of colour mill dyes but this was horrendous. It ruined a batch of buttercream by giving it the most chemical taste ever. Not a slight chemical taste but a floor cleaner chemical taste. Also didn’t whiten as I would have expected it to. I don’t know if it was just a bad batch or what but it instantly went into the bin along with my buttercream.

Great food colour.
This works great to lighten and disguise that yellow pigment that butter has. Paired with a teeny spot of lilac the butter icing comes up great with this!

Colourmil quality
I ordered the white colourmil oil based in order to help get my buttercream closer to white.It does what I need and is pretty good at removing the yellow hint to it.I did have to double check the contents when I received it though as the label was… shall we say amusing…. (Check image) maybe some quality control is needed on the labelling for two reasons…This is a WHITE colourAnd maybe fix the wording…..
