I bought this to use for my 1 yr old... his daycare was having a Dr.Seuss week, and one day's theme was "crazy hair"... his hair is fine, though dark.The chalk worked great!!! I had to apply a few layers to get a deep color, and it did look like he had hair gel in, but I made a great stripy pattern with this an the purple.I knocked it down a star because I couldn't get my own hair (short, thick, brown) to color at all; I will admit I didn't try VERY hard, but baby's hair was super easy!Please indicate if this review was helpful for you. I did not receive this item at a reduced cost to review... I just like to review and pass on experiences.

This color at least does what I wanted. I wanted a "shock" of purple on my gray/silver/white hair and it does the job. Still (like the white & silver chalks of same company) difficult to use easily. Not recommended.

Love it. It does come out when you wash your face, especially if it just for your edges. But thats cool with me.

good fun, but sticky and looks less like chalk and more like wet goop.

Didn't work for me

I dyed some of my hair purple and it tends to fade out to lavender at the roots. This hair chalk is perfect for touching up between dye jobs. Doesn't rub off easily. There is just a hint of glitter but it's not too noticeable and probably keeps the coating of chalk from making the hair look dull.

I have medium to dark brown hair and you can't see this in my hair. I Wouldn't buy it again.
