Bought this last year the remote has been lost called customer services they said they do not support spares for there products. So I now have a £500 item that doesn’t work. Buyer be ware

I bought this electric awning to install at the front of my garage, mainly to give me some protection from the sun and rain while I am working with the garage door open, and it has honestly been one of the best little upgrades I have done to the house. It looked so good once fitted that it actually made me want to finally repaint my garage door frame, as it was letting down how smart the awning looked. I was not originally planning to use it for a patio or garden area like most people do, but rather as a sturdy, weatherproof cover so I could work comfortably on cars and other projects without getting soaked or overheated. This awning turned out to be absolutely perfect for that purpose. It looks sleek and professional, and the dark grey fabric combined with the matching aluminium frame gives it a really smart and modern appearance. The built-in LED strip along the arms is an excellent addition, providing a pleasant, ambient light for when I am working late night in the garage, which makes the whole setup look stylish and functional at the same time. The main unit feels solid and well-engineered, but I did make a few adjustments during installation. The fittings supplied were acceptable, but the Rawl bolts included felt quite soft, almost like tin, and I was not confident they would hold up over time given the weight of the awning and the exposure to wind and rain. I decided to use resin anchors directly into the brickwork instead, which provided a far more secure and professional finish. Installation itself is straightforward, though the awning is heavy and ideally requires three people to lift and position it safely. We managed with two people, but it was a struggle and I would definitely recommend having an extra pair of hands to make the process easier. After fitting it, I noticed one side sitting lower than the other, which at first worried me. I later discovered that the pitch can be adjusted by loosening or tightening a bolt on each side, which quickly solved the problem and allowed me to level it perfectly. The arms do not fold completely flat when retracted, although that may be because I did not mount it perfectly level across the horizontal axis, or it could simply be how the mechanism works. Either way, it does not affect how well it operates. The remote control works perfectly, and the motor runs smoothly and quietly, giving the whole setup a high-quality feel. Delivery was handled by Wayfair using a third-party courier rather than Amazon’s own service, but it arrived promptly the next day, very well packaged and in perfect condition. Once installed, the awning performs beautifully. It opens and retracts smoothly, provides excellent shade and rain protection, and the LED lighting makes the space underneath feel welcoming and practical for evening use. It has completely transformed the front of my garage into a comfortable, usable outdoor workspace that looks great and functions even better. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this awning. It is solid, stylish, and works exactly as described. You can tell it is built to a good standard and not just a flimsy budget product. Time will tell how it holds up through different weather conditions, but so far, I could not be happier. It looks fantastic, operates smoothly, and adds real value to the space.
