Great buy
Very powerful lantern. The highest setting is a blinding light, the other settings are more useful. The nightlight setting will light a small bedroom in order to allow you to read. The lantern is very versatile and documentation indicates on the lowest setting it will last 500 hours. It has requires 4 D cell batteries which is probably needed for the highest setting but then provides long burn time for the lower settings. I have always been impressed with Dorcy. Years ago I bought a small 3AA cell led flashlight that said it would last 150 hrs. I tested it by turning it on and putting in a closet on Monday and came back the next Monday and it still was working. It would provide enough light to read in an emergency. Was water proof. I bought three, giving one to my daughter for an emergency light when she left for college. This a great buy.

Torch arrived broken
It is broken. Battery store could not get it to work. Unfortunately I threw box away. I want either refund or replacement

Very brite if you want to light up a room
Great lantern, several light levels--including very bright which is what I wanted (1000 lumens). You can also hang the lantern upside down using the hanger on the bottom of it.

Great Lantern
I got mine used for $12 and when it arrived it looked like it has never been touched! The lantern is very bright and just what I was looking for. A light for camping and emergency around the house.

A lot of light for little money!
My grandson bought one of these for me last year. It was such a bright and user-friendly and long lasting light, that I ordered two more from Amazon. I really can’t believe how long the light lasts on the lower modes. Easily all night long and much more during the power outages.
