Build a Sturdy Work Bench
I was a little concerned about building a work bench with 2x4's for legs would be sturdy enough. Well, my concerns were unfounded. The finished work bench is plenty strong. The brackets make assembly easier and stronger. I recommend this product.

Trading Hardware Expense to save time and guesswork!
Goal - To have a worktop / work bench where I can tackle larger projects and not be on the floor with the track saw. Yes I work a pocket hole jig, clamps, and all sorts of other junk... to be frank.. I could have built the workbench without these brackets. What I saved was the hours of double checking for squareness etc as these brackets you just mock up and screw up. I built mine based on calculating the width to be able to store a sander, jointer, shopvac, tool boxes etc on the width. The benchtop is laminating two pieces of 3/4" ply getting to 1.5" thick. The bottom shelf is just el cheapo 1/2" ply (lots of ugly in that wood but who cares its a shelf!) Measure however your bench needs to be - I had specific needs as to why I did what I did your milage may vary! Also for those who made have read a negative review about the dimensions of this bracket... 2x4 dimensional lumber ISNT exactly 2x4... actual dimensions are appx 1.5"x3.5".. so whatever 2x4 you get at the blue or orange box store.. it'll fit in this bracket. Just make sure you get the straightest no warp beams and you should be good to go. Finally please for the love of g*d dont use a regular drill - if you dont own an impact.. its time to get one.. for this build an impact driver will be a godsend =) Great set of hardware Easy to mock and lock in all in all good value!

Very sturdy and easy to put together.
This is a great addition to any work room or garage! You can build this to whatever size you want, as long and as wide as you want to make it work for you. I built mine to 3’ tall, 3’ wide and 6’ length. It’s very stable with OSB top and bottom surfaces. I put a back on it so I can add some shelves and maybe some pegboard. I’m using this table for cutting and dying leather and to give me more room on my other bench. I’m very happy with this purchase and I think it will work for most people for most needs. If you have the money in your pocket and you’re thinking about putting together a nice workbench I can honestly say “don’t hesitate”! If you need to you can hang a 2x4 or two under your toppers to support it if needed.

Fit of various 2 x 4s varies, but these save time
After reading all the many reviews before purchase, I knew what I was getting: These brackets are well built and sturdy. The challenge is that the brackets can be loose on some 2 x 4's and very tight on some others. This is no fault of the brackets; it is the fault of the various types of 2 x 4's that are available. I built 2 workbenches and used 2 different kinds of 2 x 4's; fir and treated pine. The fir boards were loose in the brackets but the treated pine actually had to be reduced in size slightly before they could fit. Regarding fasteners, I took the many reviews at their word and bought my own fasteners. I have the frames constructed already so the big thing for me is that these saved me time in the construction process. I give them solid 4 stars, mainly for this reason.

Instructions weak.
Very basic instructions but lacked critical info like how the brackets effect sizing of the final bench and how you need to cut wood if you have a very defined needed size as I did. Fortunately I figured that out before cutting wood but if your have or need, for example a 7’ width X 24” depth your wood will need to be cut a couple of inches shorter on both sides. Also.. I’m adding wheels to my legs. If your doing same legs will need to be a bit shorter to reach the desired height. Other than that the brackets create a pretty well made work bench.
