14 1/2 foot standout, used for the first time today and by far the best tape measure I have ever had.

Nah, I would return if not for the cost.
Well-ish made except it doesn't stay uniform but twists when extended beyond 8 or 9 feet. Don't bother. There are better tape measures with reverable sides and with both imperial (SAE) and metric measurements. Klein tools does a good 7m just like that.
