Philips DSP-475 U Soundbar Speaker (Black)

Bought it a few years back. I understand that the absence of a control for adjustment of bass is a defect of the design of this product, but this aside, the system produces fantastic bass for its power output and definitely an excellent purchase for bass lovers. eve the satellite speakers are in the mid bass range and the sound bar comes with a bass reflex exit port on top! F.M. reception is excellent in my location. It is inconvenient to connect the sound bar directly to the TV. Rather, I'd suggest you to connect the satellite set top box or the bluray player directly to the sound bar. That way you can listen to music from the bluray player also. If you feel a deficiency of treble and mid high frequencies, use your TV speakers. LED TVs come with very small speakers and are there by excellent tweeters by themselves. Lastly a comment on the sub woofer design. It is probably the best passive sub woofer design in India today. The only disadvantage is that the exit port is below the cabinet which means the sub woofer sounds better if mounted over a small stand, at your ear level. It sounds OK if kept in the floor also. Overall I'd recommend this product to those who have a slim LED TV with small speakers, in the high pitch range. No HDMI input - output arrangement though. Lastly, the Amazon packaging and service was satisfactory.

One of the best 'value for money' product available.Pros:Good sound output with subwoofer doing perfect 'assistent' job.Aesthtic design - very appealling. Looks a real premium speakers.Hassle free operation and seamless switch between various modes.Powerful FM receiver.Amazing packing by Amazon.Cons:Frankly, yet to find anyone.

I am strongly recommend this speakers for the TV. Philips has done a wonderful work.Pros:1. Good stability of sound in high volumes.2. Amazing bass3. Crystal clear sound in low volume4. Pen drive and Radio5. Just need one AUX cable to connect to your TV, mobile or MP3 player. And its coming along with the package.Cons:1. Small hissing sound while in high volumes even the speaker is idle. But it wont be a problem when it produce sound.2. Radio is'nt that good. May be you need to increase the length of the antennaOverall A perfect speaker / Home theatre in this price range.

I bought this product but i found that its bass settings cant be controlled, it feels like unwanted bass sometimes. Since there is no control to customise the bass, listener will get frustrated due to over bass all the time. Sound volume was also normal, I was expecting a bit high. just 20 percent more volume than my philips led tv.Below is the details of some PROS/CONS- very basic remote.if u have attached USB then u can change the folder. Since display is very limited so i was not able to explore it much.you cant see the name of song on display.Display is mainly for FM purpose. you can see channel nos. properlyBass hole is at bottom. Not sure i should put it on the table.Remote speed is slow in case of USBUSB read time is more. I tested with 8 GB pendrive. (This can be tolerated on this price)3.5mm jack is there so u can connect anything with 3.5mm with it.Head of woofer is glossy. looks good but my priroty is sound qualityI am returning this product beacause I cant control basss settings and also I am expecting sound a bit louder than my TV and on top of it, If I am playing USB then I expect to change the music folders and also want to see the folder and song name on the display.

ITS HELL AS THUNDER FOR MY ROOM. I SIMPLY LOVE THE PRODUCT. I LOVE THE BASS TOO.. VERY CRISPY GOOD SOUNG AND THE BASS IS THUNDER, DEPENDING ON THE QUALITY AND KIND OF MUSIC YOU PLAY.

Hi This is Ramesh from chennai I love songs and music I am satisfied for real sound from philips bass and chill Ness very nice bass and real nice chill Ness I don't listen local as asambel home theater not only that I couldn't listen some local chill Ness it will make me some headache. Very good soundUse pendrive but connect led tv axe its better than pendrive don't miss it

Below Average product,1. No select/mux option available between 3.5mm and RCA , so once you connect both cables , output sound will degrade due to input impedance.2. Avg plastic quality3. Woofer sound is not optimal and there is no control over it4. If you remove woofer, my 500 Rs creative speaker is giving similar output5. Expected more from a company like PHILIPS, I never ever buy a philips product bcs I can see their engineering skill in this product especially once you put the device is in sleep or press mute, u will feel very much discomfort due to pressure waves (hissing noise) created by woofer.Dear brothers , please dont go with this product and avoid philips bcs they are very smart in their product design :)
