Fantastic, but use as treats with a good wet diet
I typically feed my cat an exclusively canned food diet, supplemented by just about 6-9 high quality dry cat treats per day for the sake of her teeth. I do this because cats are originally a desert species that is used to getting the water they need through food, and consequently they have a low thirst drive and are quite prone to dehydration and kidney ailments arising from that. This can happen even if plenty of fresh water is available, and even if you think they drink enough, since they just aren't meant to live on a dehydrated diet (few species are, in fact). In my opinion, the only reason to give a cat kibble is for their teeth, which are not as important as their kidneys. With that said, I needed to go out of town for 24 hours, and rather than subject my cat to boarding--which she hates--I decided to get some good quality dry food to leave out for her. Well, this is definitely good quality! Opening the bag, it didn't appear to be a regular kibble at all, but more like freeze dried formed meat. Actually, it is the strangest cat food I have ever seen. From looking at it, smelling it, and reading the ingredient list, it really does appear to be just dried meats and good things without any fillers whatsoever. This results in an incredibly dense food that is EXTREMELY palatable for cats. Seriously. I mean, I just opened the bag and my Charlotte was there waiting to gobble it up. Her canned food is two different ultra- premium brands that get alternated for breakfast and dinner, and they cost me $150 a month. Let me tell you, she never runs to those like she did to this one. That tells me the filler level must be pretty low. So, the bad news is that I wasn't able to leave this food out for her on my away trip, since she would have scarfed it down in about 15 minutes and not had any for later. The good news is, I will be replacing her cat treats with this in the future. I will definitely not change her canned food diet no matter what her preferences (I am the parent here, and she can't eat whatever she wants), but I can feel good about giving her these instead of her treats, which I always thought were a bit like junk food. These I can believe are nutritious, and good for her in moderation. When used this way, I think the size and value are very reasonable.

Superb treat!
Perfect training treat for my small dogs. We train in nosework and it doesn't leave a residue. The dogs love them. They are used as a treat. Not as a meal. Unfortunately with the "you know whats" by our "Bubblehead", it is a bit pricey but still worth it.

DANGER DANGER DANGER
YUCK. I love having some of these freeze/air dried products on hand. I feed raw, but there are days I can’t and they make a great secondary food and I use them for treats. I figured I’d try the zeal as it was something other than chicken. First bag was fine. Dogs and cats all loved it. Opened second bag and went to give some to my crew and found this… thankfully I noticed, god only knows what would have happened to my babies had I not. Be careful if you buy this product as there were no holes/damage to the bag, so no excuse for this (tried to attach pics of the EXTREME mold and date of batch but system wouldn’t allow)

Zeal air dried cat food
I ordered this for my two Maine coon/ragdoll cats. He will eat anything and she is very picky. They both turned their noses at the smell. I put only a few pieces in their bowls to get them used to it. They ate a piece or two but didn't like the taste. They ate around the Zeal and really didn't want to eat the food that they were touching. I will have to try again to see if they will eat it or not; otherwise the dog maybe will have some new treats. The price was a bit high for the size of the package.

My cat ❤️ this food.
Quality of food is excellent. My cat loves it. I do mix it into another freeze dried brand I get from my vet. for variety. I don't like the smell but my cat sure seems excited when I open the bag. I just decided to get it on subscription...highly recommend.
