Realistic practice
This is really cool to have a more realistic experience when practicing. Keep in mind the needle can penetrate all the way through if it's at a higher angle or when using more force. So be careful if you're wearing this. It does have a backing that helps prevent accidental puncture. I ended up putting it on our manikin, but you could also put it on a pool noodle or something.

Not the greatest, but ok for a true beginner
If you have zero experience, this suture wrist pad works ok. It is an affordable way to get started. As you progress in your phlebotomy or nursing/medical training, you’ll need better models. I recommend it if you have no experience.
