Waste of money, does not work
This product does not work as advertised. Applied exactly as stated in the directions, but staining from routine toilet use continues exactly as it had before treating the surface with this product. Tried to return, but that option is unavailable because it is sold through a separate vendor, so keep that in mind if you intend to try this product. Unfortunate waste of money and chemicals.

This product actually does what it claims to do!
Finally, a product that does what it says it will. I have had a problem with hard water scaling the toilet and making it hard to keep clean. After my first time using it, the toilet has stayed clean. It's a little pricey but so worth it to keep the toilet clean, especially the one that guests use when they visit.

Nope. This doesn't perform as advertised
I think Wirecutter did a real disservice for consumers everywhere by recommending this product like it does. It does not perform as advertised and only does a mediocre job of keeping a bowl more clean than it would be on its own. Definitely not worth the price. Should be $10 a can, not $40 or even $25. Two and a half stars.

Works But Terrible Bottle
This actually works but it’s a pain to apply and the spray bottle is terrible. The surface has to be dry to apply it. Who wants to wait for the toilet bowl walls to dry? Or try to use a paper towel to dry them without getting the towel wet in the toilet water? Then the spray bottle is clunky and hard to squeeze at the weird angles you need to coat the bowl. The sprayer mechanism stopped working before the bottle was half empty. What a waste.

Follow the Instructions
Like some other reviewers, I think this product helps but does not totally solve the problem with the smaller toilets and their reduced flush rate. It does help to a certain extent, although the directions need to be followed explicitly, especially draining the bowl and drying it with paper towel before spraying, then allowing it to dry. It also needs to be re-applied monthly because it does wear away over time. It also isn't inexpensive. I found it worthwhile while others might not. Bottom line: DON'T BUY THOSE STUPID LITTLE TOILETS IN THE FIRST PLACE! And if you fired a rocket, it's still gonna stick!

Waste of money
What a joke. Toto is still dirty. Used on 2 toilets. Wasted my money. Can't be returned so stuck with $30 of worthless toxic liquid

Works great for water conserving toilets
We bought this product after reading the Wirecutter review. We had just updated our bathrooms with new dual flush wall hung toilets. Like in the article, our toilets have only the smallest pool of water at the bottom (maybe 1 cup's worth? everything else is just dry bowl). And like the article, embarrassing streaks were the norm. We had to wait several weeks to get the spray because of back order, but during that time we got used to having to clean the toilets almost every other day. Since we've received and used the spray, there are no more streaks!! We've gone over 2 weeks without stains or streaking and it's still going strong. It's been a total win for us. Based on the other reviews which have been less positive, I'm guessing this product works best on dual flush, water saving toilet models with small water pools.

Strong, lingering perfume smell with minimal benefit
First, this stuff has a strong perfumy smell that lingers for days. If you are at all sensitive to smells, it’s bad. We couldn’t tolerate it. We also saw little to no improvement in the cleanliness of the toilet bowl. But even if it worked perfectly, it wouldn’t be worth the smell for us. Obviously, some chemicals just have an intrinsic smell, but I wish manufacturers would just start with unscented products and only add scents as optional variants.
