Not Lightweight, but Fantastic Viewing Quality
I’ve received this binocular for a week now, and overall, I’m really impressed. The clarity and brightness are excellent, The large lenses bring in plenty of light, so even at dusk I can still see clearly. Build quality is solid and they feel durable, though definitely on the heavier side. They’re not something you’d want to carry on a long hike around your neck, but with the included strap or a tripod, they work perfectly for stationary use. I especially like that it comes with a smartphone adapter and tripod adapter, which makes it easy to take pictures and keep the view steady. If you’re looking for compact, these aren’t it, but if you want a powerful pair of binoculars with excellent optics and good accessories for the price, these are a great choice. Very satisfied so far.

Powerful bino's made from quality materials and superb build quality at a great price
Don't know a whole lot about bino's but these are awesome. I have a pretty nice tripod by Vortex that I use for my spotting scope that I put these into. I was watching the bees this morning in my neighbors front yard. I was able to read not only their license plate, but the expiration date! I could see my back yard neighbors power meter and read the numbers lol! This thing is pretty awesome, but at nearly 3lbs probably not meant for serious backpacking. As a former infantryman and scout I am fairly spoiled with my experience with extremely nice optics. I was blown away what I recieved for the price. Know what your getting. These are very large, well built and likewise heavy. So long as you know that you will be very happy. They come with a bunch of stuff for using your phone if you're into all that. That's all going to stay in the box and never get used by me lol! If you're not going on a 12+ mile hike and only doing some nature walking without gear of a few miles these will be great. They're heavy but not THAT heavy where a short trip will pose much fatigue. The strap is extremely wide and comfortable, and perfect for a few hour nature hike in a national park. It's probably too heavy for bicycling unless it's in a pack on your back. I feel like I'm rambling. These are a great quality item that has excellent functionality at an attractive price. I'm very satisfied and I would recommend to others.

When Versatility Meets Style.
This review is for the Sogries 8x40 and 10x50 binoculars. I’m reviewing them together because they are both from the same IPX7 line of binoculars offered by Sogries. These are very well built binoculars and surprisingly bright, even while stargazing and in other low light conditions. Tracking satellites is fun, and viewing the moon offers up some beautiful images with craters sharp and easily visible. If you will be viewing the moon, I recommend using a tripod or monopod to help improve stabilization. Terrestrial viewing is excellent as well, I test all of my binoculars against trees, plants and animals to assure the best detail possible from various distances and these binoculars did not disappoint. Pros: 1. Both the 8x40 and 10x50 binoculars are suitable for terrestrial and celestial viewing. 2. Nitrogen sealed lenses create a barrier that keeps moisture and contaminants out. 3. Very durable, considering their aluminum construction, both are easy to manage for adults. The 8x40’s weigh in at 1.12 lbs. the 10x50’s at 2.09 lbs. (see photos). The binoculars are also balanced well and are comfortable to hold during viewing sessions. 4. For extended viewing both the 8x40 and 10x50 can be easily mounted on a tripod. A tripod adapter is required. 5. Both the 8x40 and 10x50 offer excellent crisp clear viewing, comparable to binoculars costing twice as much. They are an exceptional value for the price point. 6. Both binoculars come with a nice carrying case for storage and a long shoulder strap for use while taking short hikes. 7. The neck strap comes with quick disconnects and is constructed of quality materials, but could use more padding on the inside. Nonetheless, I did not fine the neck strap to be uncomfortable for extended periods of wear. 8. The build quality offers use in all environments, although they are water resistant. If you’ll be boating, I would recommend using binoculars that are designed for marine activities. Not so much as a precaution, just the right tool for the job kind of thing. 9. The eyepiece lenses twist up and down, this is a nice feature found in many modern binoculars, you do not have to mess with folding down the rubber lens coverings if you wear glasses. I've also found that the twist caps when twisted down offer a larger field of view and adjust to my eyes fine although I do not wear glasses. 10. Very good customer support, they are responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. Cons: I’m not a fan of the lens caps. Sogries went to a lot of trouble making sure these binoculars are a high quality product with fully coated BAK-4 optics. However, the lens caps are a thin wafer style rubber and snap into the barrel on the objective side (large front side). The lens caps for the ocular side (eyepiece back side) are more of the traditional style caps that are connected by a rubber bridge and cover the lenses by being placed on the outer edges. I’ve found the ocular lens covers to be a bit loose, and although the objective lens covers do snap into the lens barrel nicely, it is troublesome in my opinion to have thin wafer style coverings for objective lenses that are not tethered in some way to the binoculars. Sogries has assured me that the lens caps are sufficient in keeping dirt and moisture out, this much is true, however, there are better ways of protecting your lenses. Sogries would be serving their customers well to at least use a barrel ring design lens cap. This would eliminate any concerns of losing the lens caps when out in the wild or while hiking. It is also worth noting, the caps for the objective lenses were different... the lens caps for the 8x40 binoculars have a small tab to assist in removing the cap, the 10x50 binoculars have a passthrough tab which allows you to thread the neck strap through the opening. The idea of the neck strap passthrough is to prevent the lens caps from becoming lost when removed for viewing. Again, this method isn't very useful as the passthrough has an open slot on the top. Given that the lens caps are silicone rubber, you may not even hear the cap hit the ground if one or both were to fall off. This really is my only concern with these binoculars, albeit an important one, no one wants scratched lenses and replacement or aftermarket lens caps can cost 10 - 20 dollars US. It is for this reason, I've given the binoculars 4 stars instead of 5. This is a simple fix that Sogries needs to do in my opinion, although not a deal breaker by any means. I would give both the 8x40 and 10x50 binoculars 4.5 stars if that were an option. The binocular package as a whole would easily be a 5 out of 5 stars if the lens cap concerns were addressed. In summary, both the 8x40 and 10x50 binoculars are an excellent choice and when cared for properly, should last for decades. They are stylish, easy to handle with their rubber yet rugged coating and are as versatile as one could ask for, l highly recommend these binoculars.

Exceptional Binoculars for Outdoor and Stargazing
These 18x70 high power binoculars exceeded my expectations! The clarity and sharpness, even at long distances, are absolutely impressive. Whether I’m birdwatching during the day or stargazing at night, the large aperture brings in plenty of light for a clear, bright view. The included smartphone adapter is a great bonus—it makes it easy to take photos and share the experience. I also appreciate the tripod adapter, which is a must-have for steady, long-distance viewing. The build quality feels solid and durable, yet they’re comfortable to hold for longer sessions. Setup was simple, and everything I needed was included in the package. I highly recommend these for anyone who enjoys nature, astronomy, or just wants a powerful and versatile pair of binoculars.

A quality purchase and value for the money
Having been an amateur stargazer for most of my life, binoculars are an easy and wonderful way to improve your view. Because of their larger objective they gather more light allowing dimmer objects to be visible. I bought these to replace a pair of Celestron 15x70 skymasters that wouldn't stay collimated ie, double image. I'd had them for probably 10 years. They were out of adjustment from the start. Having some experience with this I did the collimating myself. Initially the adjustment held for a reasonable length of time but as they aged they required readjusting for nearly every outing. I'm quite careful with my things and binoculars are no exception. Never dropped or handled roughly. Upon receiving these I found them to be perfectly collimated out of the box. Having used them for several weeks now, nothing has changed. Spot on every time. In addition, I believe the images are better defined/crisper with these than the Skymasters. Obviously, I am very pleased with the purchase.

A good product
I think these binoculars are versatile and deliver clear images. The 70mm large aperture lenses do a fantastic job of pulling distant objects closer with impressive clarity, whether you're stargazing or watching wildlife. It comes with useful accessories like a smartphone adapter, a tripod adapter, and a good carrying case that I love. The accessories make this both protective and convenient. However, remember that this is not a compact or lightweight pair of binoculars. It's bulky, not something you can slip into a shirt pocket or comfortably wear around your neck while hiking. Though it can be hung around the neck, it's uncomfortable for extended walking due to its size and weight. Trying to hold them up steadily for a long time will tire your arms quickly. For that reason, I highly recommend using a tripod, especially if you're planning extended sessions of stargazing or long-distance observation. Overall, despite its size and weight, I would say it is a good quality binocular set with good performance and value. Recommended.

Nice but heavy
These 18x70 binoculars are really good. They seem to be tough and sturdy. They are heavy though. I had read in reviews that they were heavy but took a chance. I bought a tripod just in case. My only disappointment is the lack of instruction. If you are a newbie like me, you will have to play with the focus knobs. The left and right eye lenses have to be focused individually, and then the larger one. Overall, I am happy with these. I can see more stars and constellations.
