6 month review
Great clock speed peaking between 4.2 and 4.5ghz without any manual overclocking. Usage in heavy triple A game titles and streaming, works great for a am4 platform. Overall great price for a decent cpu that churns out most games decently. No issues with stability. Plays Amazingly in 1080p I’m sure it will do great in 1440 as well

Solid, fast all-around processor for budget-building
Still a beast; yes, if you have the cash (and you'll need it at time of writing...RAM, big oof) you'll probably find faster chips and chipsets waiting for you, but if you're content with budget-building there's plenty to like about what's been, for me, a perfect all-around choice. The X3D variant was a lot more expensive when I bought this and I don't think it was worth the extra spend for gaming, since I had multiple use-cases in mind. The higher thread-count Ryzens might make more sense than this one if you can get a good deal and want to do things that benefit from lots of threads. In my own case, I was looking to contain cost and still get excellent performance. Mission accomplished. I skipped the cooler that came with it, full disclosure. I tried it later on another chip and...it's a bit awkward to wire up for the lights, but if you like to kit your system out with pretty LEDs it's probably a good value-add for cheap, and it does the job. I went with a big heat sink and low-noise horizontal fan cooler instead, and I only find that in-game temps get a little spicy with the default configuration on my motherboard (automatic overclock). I might fiddle with this later but I have not had stability issues from day one, so there's no rush to tinker. My use cases include transcoding media, gaming, virtualization, compiling some software from source, and other Linux stuff. I don't feel like I'm missing out but YMMV. All that said: the newer chipsets will net you PCIe gains. Such are the costs of saving money with yesteryear tech.

The best budget 8-Core Beast
Arrived as described, came with Wraith Prism Cooler. Works just smooth on my B450 Tomahawk. I have Arctic Freezer E-Sports E33 Duo CPU cooler and temps are just insainly low. It goes arount 27°C on Idle and 62°C at maximum load in many games. It is the most Powerful 8-Core CPU without X3D 💪 It really is valuable cpu ❤️

Great Upgrade :)
Does it run hot ? Maybe a little under normal non-gaming use. I have an AIO and it handles that well. In-game? Naw, it does not get hot at all. I have this paired with an XFX RX6750XT and 32GB ddr4 ram and this machine crushes games. High FPS, low temps. Great for gaming!!

The best brand
The review is for my son, he wanted it he got it and he wanted this one specifically for a PC he's building. He said this is the best to get and I trust my 15 year old to know more about it than I ever thought about. The value of this compared to what I thought I'd have to spend was well within my budget. It's got great stability and performance from my understanding. (Well my son's) Get it .

Powerful CPU but Power Hungry
This CPU was a significant upgrade from my Ryzen 5 4600G. The thermals are noticeably higher than on the 4600G, but the faster clock speeds and additional cores more than compensate for the increased power consumption. Temperature spikes are quicker and more frequent, which causes the CPU fan to ramp up noticeably, but the stock cooler handled a 5-minute stress test without issue. I wouldn’t call it the best price-to-performance option on the market, but for my home lab it meets every need perfectly. Overall, I recommend it for users with similar workloads who prioritize performance over efficiency.

Good AM4 upgrade. Pain to install the cooler. RGB on by default.
The price was right, so I upgraded from a ryzen 2600 for roughly 50-80% more CPU power in CPU limited loads. It won't help if you are limited by your GPU in a game, but there are plenty of times when a faster processor will help, particularly for video production, multitasking, etc. Note that if you are upgrading, you will probably need to flash your bios with a USB drive. This was very easy to do on my computer, but you do need to flash it *before* you install the new processor. Because the included cooler attaches to the clip-style brackets on an AM4 motherboard, I had to dig out my old brackets and reattach them to the motherboard. Thankfully I still had them in the closet. These brackets specifically had to be removed for the previous cooler that came with the Ryzen 2600. Even after I got the brackets reattached, the hooks are quite hard to attach, especially if you haven't removed your motherboard from the case to do the processor swap. I found it was easier to start with the hook with the latch, then make sure to center up the cooler on the top of the processor. You have to get it squared up just right so that the opposite side hook has enough room to clip on. Then just turn the latch and plug it into the motherboard. Also the cooler comes with RGB activated by default, which is silly. There are additional cords you can run to your motherboard, and then you have to download software to control the RGB. You can't turn off the RGB without the software because it is on by default. Please AMD, just make the RGB off by default and let us turn it on with the software.

this is the best AM4 CPU that's available on the market, upgraded from a R5 2600 and my FPS improvement is insane, I can actually play shooter/fps games at 240hz on 2K resolution now where I was getting like 100 before, definitely not bottlenecked anymore, good investment

I bought the Ryzen 7 5800XT as an upgrade because I didn’t want to move to a newer socket right now, especially with the current cost of RAM. I was previously running a Ryzen 7 2700, and the difference in performance is immediately noticeable, particularly in games. Load times are faster, frame rates are higher, and overall gameplay feels much smoother and more responsive. The processor handles modern titles with ease, and multitasking performance is also a big step up thanks to the improved architecture and higher boost clocks. Installation was straightforward on my existing AM4 motherboard, and the included Wraith Prism cooler does a solid job keeping temperatures under control. This CPU is a fantastic option if you want to breathe new life into an AM4 system without the expense of a full platform upgrade. Highly recommended for anyone looking to extend the life of their AM4 build with a serious performance uplift.

a beast of a CPU to get for a budget built , although it heats upto 80c with stock cooler in summer ,it hasn't dropped in performance yet. i would suggest getting a new thermal paste and applying that as the pre installed thermal paste is not that good and a new 600-800 thermal paste can lower the temps by 5-9 degrees easily . may it be gaming productivity or just casual use this cpu can handle it all without any lag or issue
