I’ve tried different melatonin gummy products over the years and never found any that passed all three tests....effectiveness, taste, no side effects. Either they didn’t work at all, were awful taste-wise, or caused some side effects I wasn’t comfortable with. I got to the point of desperation, having 2 of my 3 children finding it next to impossible to settle down to sleep at night (9yo & 4yo). They could lay in bed for hours restless with no stimulation going (ex no tv, music, etc) and still have trouble falling asleep. After multiple nights of the same problem, I caved and started to research. A little background: both kids would lie down around 8:30-9, and not fall asleep until after midnight. They would also wake up early and had no naps. What I can tell you about these (after at least 10 days use): 1. My kids tolerate the taste. My 4yo finds them better tasting than my 9yo but neither are necessarily excited about eating them. However, they aren’t “gross” as they say and they don’t fight me on them. 2. The first night I gave them both one each, they were asleep within 30 mins. I gave them one early thinking it would take at least one hour to work (like other brands in the past) but nope they were out. I figured maybe it was either a lucky night OR maybe they convinced themselves the gummy worked and didn’t “fight” it. But then it happened night after night, within 30 mins of taking it they were out. This happened while watching a movie or their iPad/iPhone, and in their beds with nothing on (trust me, I experimented to see if it made a difference). 3. By the 5th or 6th night my 9yo began staying up past her brother and was showing signs of frustration bc she couldn’t get to sleep as easily. I gave her 2 (her dosage on the bottle) for 1-2 nights and she was right back to falling asleep within 30 mins. She has since been bumped back down to 1 but on the off chance it doesn’t work I will give her another one. 4. They both stay asleep through the night and wake up better rested in the AM. I didn’t have as much trouble with my oldest (sleeping through night) BUT she always woke up really groggy and hard to get moving. Now they both wake up seeming to have gotten a true full nights sleep. 5. No side effects that I have seen so far. I tested out one specific issue I’ve had with other brands and luckily this didn’t cause it. That issue being knocking them out to the point they couldn’t be woken up with “force”. I never want my kids to be “drugged up” to the point they can’t be woken up in an emergency situation. I was able to wake them both up (3 separate nights) by simply shaking them or yelling their name loudly. They also were able to immediately go back to sleep as well. I know some parents are reluctant about giving their children melatonin and some may even feel guilty (or have been shamed) for even thinking about giving your kid something to “force” sleep on them. But remember, you know your children better than anyone. If your child needs something natural to help them fall asleep than give them that, bc it will improve other areas you didn’t even realize were being affected by their lack of rest. These gummys are 1mg/ea which is a perfectly safe amount of children.

Okay so, Melatonin gets a bad wrap these days BUT hear me out. I’m someone who is very conscious of what I put in my of my kids’ bodies and here’s how we use this and I feel like it’s a real bang for your buck this way. I give each of them literally 1/3 of a mg. Literally one third of one gummy when needed for a sleep reset- like when we’ve been traveling, they haven’t been sleeping well for a while, etc. and it works like magic. The problem with melatonin usually is that you end up overdosing your body with its values multiply in your body- but with such a small dose- and it still working- we love this one. They wake up well rested and it’s such a gift. My kids are 9,8, and 4 and it works for all 3. I also use it for myself as needed- I take one gummy and I’m out like a light- I need much higher doses with other brands.
